Oh my gaaaawd... Okay, I just saw the latest Old Spice guy commercial for the first time and no joke, my mind instantly (instantly) went to Varric. I'm not even a Varric girl! I mean, I like him, but in a just-as-my-bff way. But suddenly I hear the commercial and I picture Varric saying the words. "Hello ladies." "I hope you like water, because we're neck deep in the sweet waters of friendship and trust." And I swooned. SWOONED.

...I think I've caught the Varric bug.

Where did you get that? I completely missed it.

I think he could call Aveline "Carrots" because of her hair. I think he'd call Dog "Mutt" or "Nug-chaser". I think he'd call Anders... I'm not sure what he'd call Anders. Eh. Oh well.

Now, I'll always be a Fenris and Anders girl first... but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to a Varric romance now.

Hm. So if Aveline is not a romance, and that leaves only Merrill and Isabela... Mary Kirby wrote Merrill, so that would mean that she's writing at least one romance for DA2. That is, IF Merrill is a romance option, which people are assuming that she is because there has to be at least two female options, right?



Do you think this is good news or bad news for our Varric's chances of being an LI? Would Mary write two romances for DA2?

I don't see why not. That would be one male and one female love interest for Mary if either of them are a love interest at all.

Yeah, there is kind of a weird height difference, but on the other hand, video games don't quite have the diversity of height that they should. Let's just say Varric's a tall dwarf (which I've always had that impression anyway) and Aeducan's a shorty.

But really I just wanted him looking down on her.

I wouldn't mind giving it a shot when I have the time. I can't guarantee it will be any better than rubbish, though. As this picture clearly shows, I'm much better at drawing the female figure than the male figure.

It's a pretty remarkable thing when ad people can make ads that consumers actually enjoy, when we're generally so overwhelmed by marketing in our daily lives that it becomes like background noise to us.

After reading the article where it is said that Aveline isn't a romance option... It sounds like she doesn't have a full-fledged romance but a bit of romance, just as someone mentioned earlier, Samara type romance. Though hopefully, not as sad... Who cares about achievements anyways... Even if Varric is confirmed to not be an LI, I bet after 10 years there's something special *optimism*
