Damned cake. So tempting. And yet, so fattening.

I can just see it, the moment Varric is announced to *not* be a LI there will be 60 different sig banners proclaiming "Varric for LI in DA3".

I really hope he is in DA2, though. :wizard:

Hm. So if Aveline is not a
romance, and that leaves only Merrill and Isabela... Mary Kirby wrote
Merrill, so that would mean that she's writing at least one romance for
DA2. That is, IF Merrill is a romance option, which people are assuming
that she is because there has to be at least two female options, right?

Do
you think this is good news or bad news for our Varric's chances of
being an LI? Would Mary write two romances for DA2?

David Gaider wrote 3 of 4 in Origins. This time he seems to only be writing Fenris out of the companions. I don't see why Mary couldn't write 2 in DA2. *shrug*.

I personally don't think that Varric will be a LI in DA2 since he's the narrator and a lot of people wanted to romance Anders in Awakening, and therefore is likely to be a LI in the sequel (as Garrus and Tali were in ME2).

But I really do hope that Varric's a LI, I especially hope he's the bi-option..
I want Fenris for (one of) my Lady Hawke's, but my male Hawke's only need are some sweet dwarven love .

I just have a dreadful feeling that we will get a delay announced on Valentine's Day and not the LI confirmations...like they did with Origins. :o

The game is so close to completion it'd require something serious to push it back now. That said, we might not get anything on Valentine's Day. I'm certainly not holding out any hope. I'm still trying to initiate my Media Blackout Period. So far I have failed.

I know the feeling! Every so often, I delete my bookmark to the forums after reading something I wish I hadn't heard. It doesn't last long.

I wouldn't be terribly shocked if women running from him in tears in a similar fashion is a regular occurrence.

Probably not to common -- few women get the same restrictions Ladyhawke does.

Context, my friend.

"Stupid Sexy Varric!  ...I'll never be satisfied with my husband again!"

Or something.

I haven't had my coffee yet. Pfft. Excuses.

Don´t know if this has been mentioned,
But does anyone think that Bodhan and Sandal might be working for Bartrand?
Bodhan does have a knack for finding valuable items in ruins topside, and in Old Thaigs.

Maybe he found the Thaig Bartrand wants to explore?

If Varric isn't LI in DA2, I'll be DAMNED if he isn't in DA3. I get the impression a LOT of people are going to be HUGE fans of his ala Garrus & Tali and rally to support him as a romance option. Hell, look at this thread now. If, for whatever reason, the cake isn't delivered today, surely it'll be tomorrow.

This is a fabulous quote, I love it! Varric will definitely make heads turn and our ranks will grow!

I look forward to Varric fandom when the new forums go up. The old dwarf thread(s) in DAO were one of my favorites to visit so I'm hoping to see more of that dwarven worship. I'm really ansty to see if there are any dwarven females in DA2, to see how their models compare to the new roller-derby concept arts. Can't wait!

I was talking about Origins dwarves (I had forgotten about Dagna) and went on to talk about how charmed people were with Sigrun in Awakening. ;)

I think ma Brosca was pretty memorable. And I don't think she is clinically insane.

Oh, and Jarvia.

Memorable, yes. Sympathetic? No.

And Lady Dace will always have a place of UTTER VILE HATRED in all my playthroughs. FffFFff-

Sympathetic. Hmm, Rica? There weren't many sympathetic dwarves at all though.
