Wouldn't it be awesome if Varric, Anders, and Fenris all turned out to be LI's? Then we wouldn't have this silly LI rivalry thing going on.



You know, they only said that Aveline wasn't romanceable until near the end where she starts to come out of her shell more. So, maybe... Fenris and Varric are romanceable from the beginning, but Anders isn't romanceable until near the end when you can get rid of his demon problem?

That's what I think will happen, personally. I'm fully in support of this idea. I love Anders and I wanted to romance him badly in Awakening, but even I know it wouldn't be the best idea to romance a guy with a demon living inside of him. 

It means big ****ing deal.

The article gave the impression that there was maybe an opportunity for something not-quite-considered a romance with her closer to the end of the game.

But they did say... I can't remember who said it and I have to go to work or I'd look for it, "until near the end when she starts to come out of her shell".

It was more that she opens up to you but she's still not a romance, probably similar to befriending Morrigan where she opens up more in the end.

@namedforthemoon -- Pretty sure you're thinking of the writer's post, rather than an article, in the Aveline thread. Hitting the bioware icon in the thread should take you to his post pretty quickly. I know how you feel though. Anytime I find anything relevant to dwarves, I archive the contents of the post/link in the dwarf group for faster reference when people start debating. =p

No. Just that there'll be enough to pander to all sexual orientations. So at least 2.

From what we know, six companions.
Aveline isn't one, so probably two companion LIs per gender.

I didn't even realize there was an Isolde loop until I stopped my Winamp. Egads!

Anyway, just want to post a random Varric-thought before I go to sleep...I'm assuming that House Tehtras is pretty much Kalnas, while Varric I'm guessing leans towards Ascendant. Would this somehow play into his personal quest, and what would could the consequences be for him, Hawke, and Kirkwall in the long run if it comes down to choosing one or the other?

PS. Thanks for the kind words about the Valentine's Day comic. I made the 'love' aspect of the comic ambiguous so it can be interpreted as romantic, platonic, or unrequited depending on your leanings :3

Can all this romance argument be levelled down to the preferences in appearance?
Like it has been said many times, if Varric was a human or even elf, no one would think twice of him being a love interest. Would there be less fans to any companion, if his or her appearance was divine and conventional but the personality was stupid or utterly horrible?

I keep throwing out Bishop to exemplify the last statement.
