Chest hair never die.
They only go missing in action.

I'm saddened at the lack of the "Bioware" tag at the bottom of this thread, it makes this thread seem a lot less important than the previous one.
Quickly! Ask serious questions!!!
EDIT: Since I can't always be here, I suggest we put Anarya and Calla S as unofficial moderators... Just to ensure we stay on Varric track...

I've forgotten what a serious question is after this thread
EDIT: ok here's one, hopefully, what other character types would we like to see for the other narrators?

Edit the main post, make it seem less confusing for people who come into this thread and haven't seen the first one! Something similar to the first thread's post.

I'm actually down with the idea of volleying narrators. Different people for different kinds of situations you choose - you get out of politic choices and Varric has to send Cassandra to someone who survived the battles with you, etc.
.. and one of them is a horrible storyteller.
Cassandra: Varric knew Hawke until he decided to leave after she dumped him, sometime around 6 years ago. He says you continued to travel with him. What happened?
Male Qunari: Many things.
Cassandra: I need details.
Male Qunari: We killed darkspawn.
Cassandra: Why? Where? Who? When?
Male Qunari: In the past.
[Cassandra rips her hair out]
I would love this a lot.

If Varric eats waffles, they have to be blueberry waffles; warm, buttery blueberry waffles.
Blueberry anything.
Other narrator wise: I would seriously love a Qunari narrator, albeit for a briefer time than some of the others/Varric, it would be a hilarious change of pace.
A mage could be interesting if they are all being interogated by Cass. Or how about a narrator who isn't a companion, but is an antagonist who narrates a specific portion of the game? Would be like having the game turn against you.

So what do we think Varric's back story will be?, especially given the fact that he's a surface dwarf, I'm guessing more than a few indiscretions within the noble cast, or maybe a full on romp with all the female shapers?
The dwarves kicked his parents out to the surface due to the cult following they gained was challenging the dwarven ancestral beliefs.

I believe Mary said that he was born in Kirkwall, so I wager there's something to do with his family. Maybe his father had a full on romp with all the female Shapers. Varric's romping is reserved for the Suface laydeez. I think there may either be some problem with his past or someone in Kirkwall trying to one up him or have him assassinated due to his being - I'm assuming here - a well-known trader.

Varric was born in Kirkwall. His family was noble before they became
skyers. He is, therefore, a merchant prince among the surface dwarves.
And that's probably all I can tell you about him for now.
Beyond that I'm guessing that the reason behind his family's expulsion from Orzammar will be something that comes up over the course of the game. I can't imagine many noble familes end up becoming skyers.

Intersting, so what do we think being a merchant prince consists of?, perhaps wearing a crown whilst stocktaking?
Merchant Princes are actually just people at the top of trading companies, they wouldn't have a crown.
Edit: Although, Varric would look spiffy with a crown.

Varric strikes me as eccentric enough that he could pull off wearing a crown regardless of whether Merchant Princes usually do.
It seems pretty likely that you meet him upon reaching Kirkwall, where he promptly sells Hawke a large number of items that he doesn't actually need. Okay now I'm picturing Varric as played by Omid Djalili and it's amazing.

It's to give him something to nibble on when FemHawke isn't around.
