Just listening to the podcast now. That's done it for me, they listen to us. From this point on nothing I read/see/hear will dissuade me from the belief that Varric will be a LI in DA2. Great to hear them reference our following of the Dwarven Paragon of glorious chest hair!

Edit: I am worried at the decrease in Varric related banners though, tut tut.

Edit 2: Love pillow  Yay for Aimo bringing the thread even more infamy. "his chest hair is now diamonds..." This is what I like to hear in a podcast.

Aye! When I heard it, I almost bounced right out of my chair. It has to happen. Come on. Everyone LOVES him! The fact that they actually mentioned - specifically - Varric as an LI (if only in passing and to make a point) rather than saying something like "oh, yeah, he's a hit with the fans" gives me the necessary confidence boost I needed!

I might get flamed for this but...

I think I'm one of the few girls who is immune to Varric, It might be because I'm 17, and like guys with out body or facial hair. Bleh! I guess I also find it odd that so many people want a dwarf... I don't think I could be a human and romance him, but if I could be my most favorite race ever (an elf) then I might... It's a height thing >_>. Anyway, to all you people who like him, I hope you get a romance or at least some flirting

I love all the sig bars, far cooler than anything I could imagine, let alone produce, however any chance of a sig that is awesome without using the word support, because I am not a bra in all honesty.

EDIT: Perhaps instead of support we could say " given certain personally favourable circumstances I would generally be in favour of, with limitation' Hawke.

I know!! If it does end up happening, I'm going to be absolutely thrilled to be a part of this lovely thread for so long. Well, thrilled about that and about Varric being an LI. I'd be pretty jazzed about that, too.

@namedforthemoon: Hahah! You're right on the money! Not only dwarves the PERFECT height for human women (Oghren said it himself - just the right height to give human women a good time), but they're *ahem* notably well-equipped.

I don't know...I prefer a lovely elf girl
But if Varric ends as a LI, then congratulations for proving that a thread might actually get results.

You could still get your lovely elf girl.  I could easily see Varric as a bi-LI, being that it'd give both sexes an attempt to "bag the narrator." Meaning said lovely elf girl could be either a straight LI or a female bi LI. It really all comes down to how many per gender we'll be getting.

More than 3 per gender, I hope. I haven't been able to play ME2 but it seems like there was a lot more LI's for both men and women than in the first game.

I really do hope so! I mean, the game does span 10 years. I'd be a good idea to give us more than a few options when it comes down to who Hawke wants to spend ten years with.

I found that Mass Effect 2 did too many romances in my opinion, when everybody wants to sleep with you it loses it's value.
