Even Varric's House name is sexual. Plus he isn't old as some have predicted! Even if he is 30 at the start, Hawke is considered the elder child and I'm guessing is in his or her 20's. Varric has just enough extra years to be... experienced. ;P

Methinks Varric is in his 30s when he meets Hawke. In his concept art with Cassandra, he's going a bit grey, meaning he's maybe in his late 40s at the time? I don't know. But. Yes. Varric Tethras. It's pretty sexy.
