Honestly I didn't mind Zev's accent although it didn't really sound exactly like any Spanish or Central/South American accent I can think of.

The only accent I couldn't stand in the game was Erlina and Marjolaine's awful ones. They made me feel like I needed to sympathy-cough or something.

Oh, their voices were a whole new level of awfulness, But they didn't have the amount of dialogue that Zevran did, so it isn't as easy to block out.

Whatever though. WEEEEE, VARRIC.

I hope Varric has a BIT of an accent, at the very least, considering he's grown up in the Free Marches. I don't want him to have your normal, run-of-the-mill "American" dwarf accent. Something slightly exotic, but not cloying = win!

Varric can't have an accent. Didn't D. Gaider say he wanted Zevran to have a "light spanish accent"? Look what happened. I say don't tempt fate. O:

WHAT?! Zevran's accent was the sex!

I vehemently disagree. I am not a fan of imitation Antonio Banderas. Plus, my family is from a Spanish speaking country and Zevran's accent just sounded like a poor facsimile of their accents when they're speaking in English. I'd have preferred a person with a real accent, to me he just sounded like a cartoon.

But this is about Varric, and I just hope he doesn't have a ridiculous accent

I heard Zevran in an advertisement for Taco Bell.

I wouldn't mind him having some sort of accent, though we really have no reference for Free March...ian? accents. Just not something that makes him sound like a caricature. We really need someone who has played the demo to clue us in :P

I'd so go for Ron Perlman though.

I'd rather like a fainter version of Mads Mikkelsen's accent. Nothing very, very thick, but still there.

I don't want to think of Hellboy when I'm romanticizing my sweet Varric.

Do you prefer your tears in a cup or frozen and flaked with some sort of simple syrup?

There's school of thought which considers suffering to be a way to improve one's character. For all we know, Mr.Gaider is doing humanity a favour.

We get it. You're butthurt that his sense of humor just so happens to thrive on causing others "pain." (BS, if you ask me. Sarcasm and snark does rely on being a bit sharper than your average after school special, however. Get used to it. This is the Internet.) Truly, he is a malevolent bastard. There's an implied roll of the eyes here, by the way.

Also, Varric's face is fine how it is. Go away.

When you feel a lot of pain...tell me do you like it?
Also have you seen how he looks in game?
