Maybe some sort of symbol? Maybe Varric's favorite food is nug doughnuts?Anarya wrote...

So what are our ideas on Varric's necklace doughnut thing?, or did I miss any discussion on that?
You did not. I don't know, maybe it's just bling? Looks heavy.

I am not interested in a romance with Varric, but I just had to say that this thread is EPIC, and I'm really amazed at all the fanarts! Great job! You could almost make me feel interested with this dwarf
If you haven't already, page 2 is processing and will convert even the faithless.
WOW, page 2 is CRAZY! Thanks for the link!
This one made me laugh a lot:

Though I don't share in the Epic Varric Woman/Man Love being directed his way, what little nuggets we've gleaned about the Character, both from the Brilliant Mary and elsewhere, really paints a picture of a guy you'd be foolish not to include in your party. Not simply because of the framed narrative, but because, to me at least, he's really starting to sound like a Lando Calrissian kind of protaganist. Even the "interrogation" between him and Cassandra reminds me of how Lando would have reacted if Vader had been questioning him about Han, Leia, and so on but Lando hadn't of had so much to loose. I'm going on a Star Wars tangent here, but, I mean, come on! You'd be a fool *not* to have Lando in your party, and since, to me, Varric=Lando, well, yeah, Varric will be with my Hawke everywhere he goes. And, if Hawke gets captured by some Qunari bounty hunter or something, I know Varric will have my back.
So long as he doesn't feel the need to wear Hawke's clothes when they go off to rescue him

Not to take the attention away from Varric, but, come on. Lando had to cut and run. The Empire likely froze all his assests, and the Rebel's fashions likely didn't appeal to him. Han had a few extra pairs of vests laying around, so Lando borrowed some spares. Don't fault the guy for being practical.

But if that happened to Varric / Hawke, seeing a dwarf pretending to be a human (wearing human clothing) would be rather silly. Worse so if Hawke is female.

No concerns there. Varric is so "Upper class" in his Rogue fashions, he'd never be caught dead in anything "either" Hawke would wear. He may be Lando-esq, but it's clear Varric's in a League of his own when it comes to shirt and pants of choice.'

Well, Gaider did say that Varric was able to exaggerate how he looked like in reality.

Now I'm imagining Varric as a Thedas equivilant of Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses.
