To be honest, from (the scant) information they've released so far, I don't think this is really a concern. The character concept is just nothing like Oghren's at all. Even if Varric acts at times as comic relief, his character sounds liek it would be a completely different form to the one Oghren was supposed to take.

Will only Varric get such a comb? I do believe Male Hawke is in need of epic beard comb. There should be a cute little comic on comb sharing between the two.

That's right.
Even though Lord Varric elevated Aimo to demipower status, it was no good if there weren't sufficent relics in this temple.
