People have had sex with other animals in the past. Years ago I remember reading a magazine where the journalist heard rumors about a tribe that had a certain "right of age passage"'. So the journalist went to investigate and he documented that the rumor was true. What was the "right of age passage"? Kids having sex with the local cow. Not one offspring ever was produced.

That would feel more awkward than the Thane loyalty mission.
