Back on topic: Just adopt, for the love of god. It's much more biologically possible than having hybrids.

Yeah its not about messing with the genes per say its about the child being able to even live after its made you do need a gene sequence that is relative.



According to ME experiments the only thing beyond an asari a human could breed with would be a collector sense they where running experiments on how similar human and collector/ prothean dna was, its... suggestive.



But many people are talking about linking a cat and a dog it doesn't work! Hell cloning a sheep ended up killing the original sheep faster so linking a Quarian and human can't work.

So this is very hypothetical topic, discussing things that dont exists. For me Assari and maybe Quarian (need their face now) look very much human-ish. It is possible and not sick in any way... well maybe Human + Krogan is sick

But Mass Effect is supposed to be REALISTIC. EVERYTHING in the game has a scientific explanation, even the FTL travel, which even Star Wars can't explain in their own Universe.

Interspecies pregnency is not only improbable it's wrong.

I'd imagine most human women would have contraceptive implants in ME. Especially considering mix genders serving together in close confines in highly stressful situations. The Alliance will probably go nuts with all the unwanted pregnancies.  Not to mention the laughing stock the human race will become if something like that leaks to the rest of the galaxy.

It's possible to have babies with Assari (dont need to explain)
As about other races well I dont know, we need to ask Bioware. But I bet they will find a way. You can explain even ghosts, so sci-fi is science but also fiction. That gives a room for a bit of fantasy.

Not really in defense for OP but i did see something on the discovery channel, a few months ago. 
There are claims or theories found from egyptian dig sites supposedly proving that alien interferance was here.
That these aliens were trying to create a hybrid slave or worker class by combining species together. which was why there are many glyphs of human body/dog head type things everywhere as well as other combinations.

Lol realistic sci fi, because mass effect fields obey the laws of a newtonion universe. Though I always find it strange, I can understand Asari having breasts but I don't see why they would have a vagina. If they do have one it would be a remnant of evolution and indicate at some point in their evolutionary past there was a male of the species. If they don't have one, well I guess we know where everyones sticking it.

Unless they have some other orifice not intended for breeding, which would sort of make sense, they must have some sort of birth canal. Even then I just can't see them engaging in the physical act, it doesn't seem to make sense as a species. 

But I should stop discussing this before I break some sort of weirdness/geek barrier and rip the fabric of space-time.

Fantasy does not belong in Mass Effect. If 'element zero' existed - everything in Mass Effect should work. Asari are different. The 'father' species mating with an asari does not give ANY genetic material. The asari gives both chromosomes - both 'sex' cells. The father species is just a contruction guide on how to put them together.

And, I can explain ghosts. It's called a 'mental illness.' <_<

Well, they have a different way of 'talking.' Translators just adapt the way Commander Shepard percieves it, and translates it into a language he can understand. Tali doesn't even have an accent - not really - the translator just gives her one. And, Krogan kind of waddle when they try to run, so don't say that they walk exactly like us.

I don't,  it was just to damn funny to change the channel. I just couldn't do it,  sat and watched the whole thing.

Damn someone should of told me kinetic barriers, thanix cannons and quantum entanglement communicators were based in actual scientific principles, I could of started development already! Just imagine the military contracts.
