I could think of a few NPC that I couldn't stand (Isolde, Anora,...), but to keep it short I hated Wynne. I hated her motherly way of talking to me. If Alistair likes her to act like a mom/grandmom well enjoy yourself, but don't force my character to accept her as the wise mom that will teach me the world and duties of a grey warden.

For me it's Wynne as well. Played through the game as a mage, and I've really didn't like the way the tower was doing it's business... Long story short, Wynne died in the halls along with the mages who were stupid enough to support her and oppose me.

I really, really dislike her and her preachy, better knowing, "motherly" attitude. Treating me like a child while I'm trying to save the world. Really, Wynne? Really!?

Companions:

Zevran - Kept hitting on me...

Sten - Didn't do anything...

Oghren - Is just annoying... Drunk Perv... Kept hitting on me as well... And I don't think he's gay...

I actually liked all the new companions from awakening. Stupid Oghren...



Isolde sticks out as the highest character I absolutely hated.



Everyone else was pretty good, even if you hated them for being a good villain, that's how it's suppose to be. I don't hate characters if they are well written.

Oghren is the one i hate the most...he swears too much, is a drunken ass and i wish we never had to have him in the party.

Why do people hate Morrigan so much? Or Loghain... I found Loghain to be a very good misunderstood bad guy. And Morrigan, of course she's heartless, but that's the whole point.

I don't particularly hate any companions, but I somewhat dislike Zevran. Don't have time for his antics.

And Alistair...now that one is a completely different story. I imagine Alistair is BioWare's answer to us poor souls who dared complain about how Carth whined constantly. The guy can be such an adorable cute puppy if he's in the mood, but...one wonders how Duncan would react if he saw Alistair crying all over the place like this. Duncan who never wastes a moment to remind us that a Grey Warden must always press forward if we're unfortunate enough to let out a tiny little "I'm still in shock" in Ostagar.

- I know I shouldn't break down like this, but...*sob*

- Duncan risked a lot to save me from the Chantry. I will always...*sob*

- And then he drinks all of us under the table. Ho ho ho. We Grey Wardens had fun, too. Duncan enters the hall and laughs until...until...*sob*

No way it can't be intentional.

As for NPCs in general... "T-gaaahn!"

I didn't like Oghren much until one time I was talking to him in party camp he hit on me, then when the dialogue ended he just fell over.

And every so-called 'leader' involved with the Dalish Elves/Werewolf thing - Zathrian, Swiftrunner, and most of all, Witherfang. What a pack of stupid.... I kill them all.

Hmmmm, I seldom really hate a character. Of course, I dislike the ones who were written to be disliked. Barring those...I like all the companions, though I don't always recruit all of them. I've killed Zev, left Wynne in the Tower, Sten in his cage and Leliana in Lothering. But, if there are characters which simply annoy the crap out of me, I'd have to say Isolde (tee-GAHN!) and Zathrian. Yeah, way to Keep your people safe, Zathrian.

Isolde - I'm pretty sure she's the most hated character in the game...



Alistar - Man UP! Come on. You knew Duncan for six months. Quit crying and go butcher some darkspawn. It's entirely implausible that the younger gray warden would be put in charge of running the show. The only other gray warden was an AWFUL choice for Bio Ware's "emotional man" character.



Jowan - Dude. You didn't do anything wrong. Stop saying you're sorry. You stood up to an oppressive organization and learned some kick ass magic. Jowan would have made a great alternative to Wynne as another character, if he weren't so damn repentant.



Leliana - You're a rogue, not a chantry sister. *IF* Leliana had given up on the chantry entirely though, after being hardened, she would have been pretty cool. Ya know, character growth and all that.



King Cailin - You would have been alright if I could have thrown it in your face more often with lines like "You're not my friend, human lord." Unfortunately, that was just about the only disrespectful thing I was allowed to say, and often, I had to call you your majesty for the game to move on. That pissed me off.



Your parents as the Human Noble - I know they're your parents, but you've been playing the game for an hour (at most) at this point. You don't feel like you have the relationship that you have with them.



Oghren - I don't like how he forces himself into your party, but other than that, he's an alright dude.



And of course, anyone remotely associated with the circle or the chantry.

For me it's King Cailan, his hearts in the right place but he's like a kid in a candy shop hoping for a glorious battle. Everytime I arrive at Ostagar I just want to punch him for being so damn stupid!

Personally, I think there are a lot of hints in the game that there's a lot more to Cailan than meets the eye, but that's one interpretation.

I'm baffled. How can anyone hate Duncan? And why?

Cailan I can understand -- though I'm a big fan myself -- but Duncan is awesomeness itself. IMO.

As for hating... I don't think I hate a character. Velanna maybe? She's just a tiny bit irritating. Oh, oh, and Loghain, of course, but hate him as a villain, not as a character. As a character he is very very well written.

Actually almost every character with an over the top accent in this game annoys the hell out of me.

I'm torn between the desire to slap her in the face or jam sharp, pointy sticks into both my ears.

Also not a big fan of the "screamers" (See: Doomsayer in Redcliffe and Doomsayer in Lothering).
