It is indeed. She also assumes every DC is a noble-hunter (or claims she does even though it's not difficult to convince her you're a GW so she probably is just saying that to be a ****).Monica21 wrote...
Is she the gripey one in the Diamond Quarter? The first time my HNF talked to her she said "oh, it's so amusing that you humans have an entire order dedicated to fighting darkspawn. It's just everyday life for us dwarves." She lives in the freaking Diamond Quarter and probably has never seen a darkspawn.Sarah1281 wrote...
Oh, I forgot to mention the fact I don't like Lady Dace, either.
I hate this character

Eamon -- No matter what you think of Alistair, his treatment of a young boy he was entrusted to look after was shockingly crappy. I also think if he had spent much time with his son, he would've noticed 'The Mage Signs'. I'm not talking lightning bolts at breakfast, but he would have twigged to something being off.
Isolde -- I understand her wanting to protect her son, I really do, but to have no compassion/guilt for all the death her 'protection' has caused makes me rage. Especially as she considers herself a pious woman.
Cullen -- I think he personifies everything that is potentially wrong with The Circle and the power The Chantry has. He is so utterly repressed that he fixates on a young apprentice and obsesses about her until he convinces himself he's 'in love'. The words he says about her Harrowing are rather that. I know some people find it romantic, or some such, but I think it's creepy as anything. That's even before he's tortured.
Wynne - I kinda like her as long as I don't talk to her in camp. The conversations she has with other companions are usually amusing and show a side to her I wish she'd show my PC. I wonder if she's become institutionalised in a way, that she can't see beyond The Circle to the detriment of all else. I also get annoyed about her blubbering on about how old she is. All. The. Time.

Loghain thinks along those same lines and is convinced that Eamon did know but didn't say anything as Teagan was childless and he didn't want Redcliffe passing out of the family. I don't know if that's true or not but it really doesn't make him look better, now does it? Quite the opposite, I'd say.Celuwen wrote...

Yes I'd forgotten Lady Dace. At least her dad seems an OK sort but damn, she's condescending.

The toolset claims that's his reply to 'I don't think he would be that petty' after Loghain insists Eamon just didn't want to see the child of a commoner on the throne.CalJones wrote...

But if I were forced...
1) Isolde (Though her VO acting in the scene where she kills Connor is amazing)
2) Goldanna (Gold digging biatch)
3) Arl Howe
4) Ser Jory
5) Arl Eamon
6) King Cailan
7) Alistair when he has his man-child moments

You do realize that Sandal is probably the most powerful NPC you have ever encountered? Far more powerful that Flemeth and all those Archdemons!macky00 wrote...
Enchantment I hate Sandal more and more each time I hear it
I mean, he marched right into Fort Drako in the Final Battle and killed all the darkspawns in that room without breaking a sweat to help you with last minute enchantments. He maybe the Maker in disguise

Other than that and those reassons, every character were themselves and had a personallity they stayed true to. And those accents made Zevran more fun to listen to and emphasized Isolde's anger.
...and templars that did not understand the right of inscription (regarding Anders in Awakening)
And there's Anora, you can save her, yet she comes into the Landsmeet and blame the Warden for kidnapping here.

Anora - I wish we have a option to make Alistair King and Execute her , but i wish a Cutscene for that , with everyone looking , Alistair give the order and she is hang , decapitated and burned and my dog can do his Mabari Dominace in her ashes.
Vaughan - Rapist , psychopath , murderer , he needs to die in all my games
Marjolaine - Because of Leliana
___________________________x______________________
Wynne - I see alot of people dont like her and her motherly attitude , but i really like her , maybe because i dont have my mother anymore and is something in my subconsious , but i dont get all the hate for her.
Sandal - Oh man , how can someone hate Sandal ? Enchantment , this always bring a smile to my face no matter how many times i listen.

They're individuals. The templars in Lothering seem like decent sorts, willing to stay behind and face almost certain death in order to keep the refugees safe for as long as possible.
That's just the soldier mindset. You try to rationalize what you are doing based on the situation. Had the Chnatry ordered them all out they probably would have reasoned 'We're better used withdrawing and increase our numbers to fight the horde.' much like your character might or the local Bann did.

Actually, all of it is, right down to rationalizing your code of ethics. But they did stay, they were helping others as best they could, and nothing suggests they were malevolent, harmful, or anything but sincere, well meaning, and even helpful.

They stay because they were told to stay and they're trained to follow the wishes of the Chantry. Because they were there they tried to preserve order and some rule of law in place of the Bann. It;s not particularly heroic or noble. It's more or less their job.

In fact, if you announce that you're a mage then he says he's far too busy to worry about chasing down apostates so that goes to show he's not a fanatic, either.
That's an issue of practicality. They're low on resources and probably can't spare the man power to take on a pair of apostates and who ever else might be with them. Like he says, he has more important things to worry about at the moment like keeping Lothering from descending into anarchy.
