Since I'm the OP, i'll start:
So i was doing my insanity run with a sentinel recently. And i was on the last boss (Who i won't name, to keep spoiler free.) I figure, if i'm gonna beat it, might as well do it with a nice nuclear blast. So i run into the match, Mordin and Miranda by my side, ready to ruin some evil plans. I take out my Cain, and it's 200% ammo. Two full shots that i would take advantage of to win the fight. As i run in, i charge the shot, aiming at it's weak points. BAM! I see the rocket fly at it, and the boss blatantly does the matrix, and the rocket misses completely. I figure "No matter, i've got another shot, let's make it count" so i charge the second shot and fire again at the weak point. This time he dives under the platforms, and the shot again misses completely.
At this point i get discouraged, but i had a fight ahead of me, so i Grab my assault rifle (Training from that one mission), take cover, and start the fight. It progresses slowly, I occasionally have to use medi-gel to get my team mates back due to the endless barrage of collectors, and the boss' attacks. But it seems mangeable. Or so i thought. 8 minutes later. I have no ammo left on my assault rifle, or my heavy pistol, i have 2 medi-gel left, and the boss is at less 1/3 health. I take out my smg and open fire. Fast forward another three minutes. 3/4 of my smg ammo is gone. And I hear a death cry, i check the hud. The latest swarm of collectors killed mordin. Calmy i open the power wheel. *Gasp!* No medi-gel. I run from my spot to a better one to avoid fire while miranda fends off colectors. I get suspicious at the amount of gunfire i hear, so i turn and look.
"Ho-lee Shee-Ut" I think to myself. Miranda dies, and 4 waves of collectors charge at me. I throw my tech armor on, turn at the boss, and fire like a madman. I feel them advancing, my shields being chipped at slowly. 100 Shots left on my smg. I keep firing. Down to 50. All of a sudden, my shields detonate, and the assault armor bonus gives me some shields back. I use tech armor, and take advantage of the pause to look around. "Hrm, whered they go?" i think, seeing only harbinger in front of me, and his gravity ball frozen along its path to me. Then i turn my camera around to behind me, and almost had a panic attack, seeing 6 collectors, guns at the ready, aiming at me. Panicked I unpause and in a frenzy open fire on the boss. 30 shots, tech armor goes down. 25 shots, shield regeneration from assault armor goes down, emergency shielding procs, shields restored. 20 shots, shields down. 15 shots, health at 50%. I figure, damn I almost had it. When all of a sudden, 7 shots left, 10% health, and BOoOM! Cutscene time.
In victory, i sigh. Take a sip of my tea. And haul ass to my computer to tell the world.
