ok, ive been trying to install this damn game for the last month and everytime I do it has a crap load of problems. So here they are:

1- It installs fine, starts up, but the autio is all screwed up. The voices are extreamly quiet and the ambient noise is overpowering. (drivers and settings are fine)

2- It randomly crashs on me.

3-Now I have a partioned drive, my C drive has an old coppy of windows that got corrupted and needs to be formated. so I use my D drive. When I try to install to my D drive, I go through and tell it where to install then put the product key in. Then the installer starts gets to 1% and closes. Its not running in the back ground, my CPU usage is at 0%.

My specs are:

9800 GT nvidia card with 1GB of ram.
4GBs of ram
300GB HDD space.
Intel processor.

all of my drivers are fine, configured correctly and not the problem ( that I know of, Im about 90% shure its not the drivers. This game worked before without any problems on the same driver set up. )

Any help anyone could give would be great.
Thanks

ok after digging a bit I found a few threads about the audio problem that I discovered was BDtS update, now I dont have a file called bioengine.ini or a config folder in my mass effect folder under my documents but i did find another post later on that had the same problem and some one said to go into C:\\Program Files\\Mass Effect\\Engine\\Config and edit the file BaseEngine. I changed MaxChannels=64 but I dont have a TotalAvailableChannels= in there. Should I make one? Or is there something else I can do?

any help would be great, this is driving me crazy.
