This may sound shallow, but oh well.

I'm making a new mage, and I think I'm going to make a female character this time. However...she looks a little..."chunky" in her robes. I don't want to go through the process of making a good looking face, only to end up with a so-so character because I'm out of shape. Any input?

Chubby? Far from ... Don't think they're chubby at all. I think they look decent, couldn't really imagine them being much thinner either. Perhaps it's something with your screen resolution? :P

Frankly, they're too thin in my opinion.  Wish you could put more meat on them.

I did notice that there is an error with the bare-skin female models, like when their midriffs are showing. Their backs should curve inwards, but they don't, rather they have straight backs which gives them a fat-waist appearance. It turned me off enough from making a female character because it looked so strange! The ones wearing leather armour, however, looked fine; their backs curved in as they should. It seems like the bare-skin is using the metal armour mesh instead. Whoops!

Other than that, though, I think the women look fine. I was actually pleased to see that they're actually pretty. A lot of the time female models look like they've been made by men who have no idea what a female even looks like! xD

Agree with this. I especially puzzle over the oddity of huge-eyed girls, like Sophia Esteed of Star Ocean:Till the End of Time. (Though in this case, it didn't stop me from liking her.)

The female models in recent Bioware games definitely need more meat on the bones.

I noticed this bug too. I was wondering if the armor Leliana had previously been wearing had a corset in it.

I want more muscle on my gals. The arms in particular look horribly skeletal. And that issue with the straight-as-a-board back looks a tad ... disturbing yes. Beats me why they did it that way, it must be impossible to miss.
