I am a C# coder in my day job and I also am a data architecture guy.  I am familiar with C compiling as well as the VS IDE.

I cannot quite grasp how this works, it seems to allow me to look at all objects for the main module but I cannot modify the scripts themselves.

Specifically, I am wanting to know how to set up a script to override, do I create a new module and

override script_i_want_to_override(eventargs)
{
//do new thing
}

Or modify the existing one?

And I can't seem to find the script editor in the toolset, I had a window that had all functions/constants in it but I closed it and I can't find it again.

I am not an idiot I just can't put this into perspective, if I could get to the point where I'm looking at C and know how to make what I change happen, I will be fine.  It's getting there that seems to be a beast!

oh and sorry about the username but my normal one was taken (by me since I use the same obscure username everywhere) but I couldn't figure out how to link it to the EA one and got annoyed, i never thought it would be my forums username lol

Anything you can create is in File > New. They get put into the Palette in the top-right.

File > New > Script, or you can open some from the Scripts icon in the Palette.

You can right-click and Check Out stuff to make them non-readable. I'm not sure how changing them would impact the main game.

I lol'd.  best forum name evar.

I am really frustrated with this site.

-organization sux.
-needs more sub-forums.
-it obviously gets bogged down too easily.  needs more resources.
-is the search function broken?  srsly?  isn't search like a basic function?
-overall inconsistent throughout the whole mess.

oh and umm View > palette.

gives you that icon shortcut menu back that you closed.

We need a working search function BADLY. I'd really like a "Find All Posts By User" function, as well as the ability to sort projects by "completed" at the very least.

This site makes me pine for nwvault.

Seems the toolset is based on a cooperative effort... you right click and check out items to "take them out" of the database. When your done changing them right click and "check in" and the file is saved. Lets you put in comments for your imaginary co-workers to know what you changed :P

For overriding you usually put in a file with the same name in the dragon age/packages/core/override folder and it does so automatically, even on the toolset.  Dont know if that works for scripts though.
