Hi there!

I have a problem starting a second playthrough with my me2 character. I've finished the game a few months ago and would like to start a new game on the insane difficult with the same character. The problem is i don't know how to import my ME2 character when i start a new game, i also noticed that i don't have a savegame after i finished my main quest => could this be the problem? if not can somebody tell me how to "initiate" a second playthrough with my existing ME2 character.

Have a save made after the suicide mission (if you survived), go to "NEW GAME" and click "Import Mass Effect 2 Character".

When you click Import ME2 Character at the main menu, what do you get?

Having completed the game once, there should be a file in there, which if you select, starts a new playthrough with the same character and skill points. If it isn't there, then I'm afraid it might have been deleted or something. Make sure you're using the same storage device you used on your first playthrough.

Actually i don't have a menu entry "Import ME2 Character", my only options are:



- Male

- Female

- Import ME1 Character



So could it be that i have to finish the game again and then create a savegame? My last savegame is right before the suicide mission.

You import AFTER finishing the game, there's your problem.

Oh, that's right. You HAVE to beat the game first, otherwise your save won't be registered for replay.

I finished the game already, obviously i didn't create a savegame after the suicide mission. Is there a dialog after the suicide mission where you can choose between stop playing and continue playing?

Yes there is.

Or you can go to pause and.... LOOK!!! Have a save after the suicide mission, go to new game, and choose import ME2 character. That's it!!!!!!!!!
