Regarding "Warden's Keep" and "Return to Ostagar": Play before or after Landsmeet?

Hi people, my char is level 20 now, and I've finished almost all quests in the big cities, except for the ones that require access to Denerim's Elven Alienage. I haven't called for the Landsmeet yet, a bit worried that I'll be pulled into a pre-Endgame situation where my travel options get limited and such. Therefore I'm thinking about getting Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar to hopefully get closer to level 25 before the game finishes.

Would there be any drawbacks to playing these two scenarios before calling the Landsmeet? That is, would it be better to do them after the fight with Loghain is done, but before the Endgame thing with the Archdemon? Haven't played through yet, so I don't know just how these things play out.
Also, a tactics question: I'm looking to get the Starfang Longsword , my d/w warrior uses the Keening Blade and Veshialle right now. To you other dual-wielders, which combo would you use of these three weapons? Starfang/Keening or Starfang/Veshialle? Or do you know of a fourth weapon that would be even better together with any of these? Btw I'm not using daggers, I'm going for ability damage mostly, not autoattack.

Play Warden's Keep anytime. Play RtO after the Landsmeet at least once, in a playthrough where you intend to spare Loghain, as it is interesting to take him there.

Veshialle is the best 1h weapon in the game. Starfang is next best full-sized but The Rose's Thorn is arguably better.

I typically play WK very early in the game and RtO early as well unless I'm planning to take Loghain. The items from both are useful enough in mid-game that I have trouble waiting.

My DW characters rarely buy Veshialle unless all the other big-ticket items have already been acquired--Starfang+Keening or Starfang+Edge usually suffices.

If you're on PC, I would really recommend Alley of Murders (mod) as another "do it any time for extra experience" add-on.

Thank you guys, very much food for thought here. Keeping Loghain is indeed a promising alternative, and I am playing on the PC, so more stuff for rounding out the experience sounds very good, thanks for the tip, Flagon.

Looks like I'll do Warden's Keep/Alley of Murders/Landsmeet/Return to Ostagar, then. I'm so glad I asked.

I brought Loghain once to RtO, and got tired of the bickering. Much rather have Alistair and Wynne, and listen to the Templar place his foot in his mouth repeatedly.

And I normally play WK soon after Lothering, and RtO when the mages have access to larger AoE spells.

I like to play them both before the Landsmeet, which isn't an issue, since I never spare Loghain. I tend not to put Alistair in Calain's armor until afterwards, though. I have a feeling Alistair wouldn't be comfortable with that. ;)

I always go to both locations after I reach lvl 19+ but before the landsmeet.
WK gives me T7 warden commander armor and eventually Starfang.
RtO gives me Maric's Sword and Duncan's Sword (which I both use with my DW rogue) as well as Cailan's Armor.
