It was actually a pretty fitting track I must say, even though I generally don't listen to that type of music. DA:O however had two (I think) of the most terrible and misplaced piece of cr*p end tracks I've heard in a video game (the "rock" tracks after the good one) <_< But I know, I digress.

I have no problem with a ps3  port as long as it doesnt infringe on the development of ME3 at all and all content available is for all plattforms

The way you must be thinking to have written such nonsense is crazy,

This arguement is so ridiculous... you got the content earlier.  Mass Effect 2 is now cheaper, but will be $60 on PS3, and so they get the DLC as a bonus.  This isn't rocket sceience... you can ALWAYS wait and pay less, for EVERY game ever released.

So you're saying the price should go up after launch? When it's released on the PS3, it will be a year old game and you'll be able to get it dirt cheap for pc and 360. Why would anyone pay full price on the PS3 without some treats? This isn't about being loyal customers. This is pure logic. I can get a new copy of ME2 today for less than half of what it cost at release. What do you say about that?

Sorry for getting off topic but,, this is something i'd like to add clear up just in case people get the wrong idea and get their hopes up too high.

While its true (and great news), that Metal Gear Solid is making an appearence on the xbox 360, it isn't the Metal Gear Solid that you will have seen on the PS3, this game take a totally new direction and without Solid Snake, also without the depth and without much of the quality and detail seen in the previous titles.

Many PS3 users have said that it will be a short game considering it is multiplatform and all versions have to be pretty much the same, at least xbox users can get Metal Gear Solid without having to disc swap around 10 times as they might have had to do with Guns of the patriots.

Now that ME2 is $40.00, is that fair for the rest of the people who paid $60.00 for the game and $20.00 for all the DLC? When the Game of the Year edition is released with all DLC, will you cry then? Or is this only because it's on the PS3?

The January release will probably be a GOTY of some type that will be available on all systems. And all late comers to the Mass Effect universe will enjoy everything at a greatly discounted price. Like my ME1 with DLC for $20.00 new and Fallout 3 GOTY with all 5 $10.00 DLC packs for $50.00. 

In January, ME2 will be a year old. It only makes sense to start releasing GOTY versions on all systems to bring in new blood. That's what attracted me to ME1 was a great price for what I heard was a great game. Also the Free DLC with it.

I'm gald PS3 users will get to enjoy this game, even without ME1. Still a good game. Totally worth the experience.

Somehow, I doubt Bioware will eliminate the decisions of ME1 from ME3. PS3 users will more than likely have a different way of determining the end game. So 360 users need not worry. All decisions will remain intact.


At least it's not owned by Activision, we would have ME Hero by now with space laser guitar.......

In no way am I saying I expect the price to rise after launch, so please refrain from putting words in my mouth. What I am saying is that people are going to be punished for being fans of the series and Bioware because they're going to give things that were not originally a part of the game to people for free when the 360 players have just dropped tons of money on it. It's unfair.

Additionally, I'm kind of assuming that the PS3 version will launch at the current PC/360 price of $40 or whatever it is. If I'm misinformed and it will cost $60 and include the extra content, I gladly revoke my statement. But doing otherwise would just be so... pardon the childish term, but it would simply be mean of Bioware.

I'm sorry but that part about quality and detail is just pure BULLSH*T.

Unless you're on the development team how can you even say that with a straight face. And given all the videos that they demoed of the game showing the detail regarding the slicing and dicing that you'll be doing as that cyborg ninja everything indicates that MGS Rising will be an extremely tight game with very unique gameplay elements.

But that's besides the point. I'd rather keep Mass Effect exclusive and give back MGS (which in my opinion is a little bit overrated).

Bioware this is one 360 customer that you've lost forever.

Dragon Age 2
Mass Effect 3

or any future Bioware titles

Now that we know of the whole free DLC thing (which is only logical btw), I wonder how the Liara DLC will fall into this.



- Will this remain on the X360 only since Liara wasn't that important in ME2, and PS3 lacks ME1?

- Are they gonna let us pay for it but give it for free to PS3 users?

- Are they gonna let us pay for it and the PS3 users as well?



For the DLC released before the announcement, I don't mind if it's free for PS3 users, but, I will be a bit hesitant on buying the upcoming DLC.

I've got one advice for Bioware.. Release the Liara DLC before Halo Reach comes out. If you do, I'll probably buy it regardless of anything. If you don't, I'll simply play Reach, till the PS3 version comes out to see if they get it for free. If they get it for free, but I need to pay, I probably won't buy it, because that would be an utter rip-off.
