Sorry for getting off topic but,, this is something i'd like to add clear up just in case people get the wrong idea and get their hopes up too high.

While its true (and great news), that Metal Gear Solid is making an appearence on the xbox 360, it isn't the Metal Gear Solid that you will have seen on the PS3, this game take a totally new direction and without Solid Snake, also without the depth and without much of the quality and detail seen in the previous titles.

Many PS3 users have said that it will be a short game considering it is multiplatform and all versions have to be pretty much the same, at least xbox users can get Metal Gear Solid without having to disc swap around 10 times as they might have had to do with Guns of the patriots.

I'm sorry but that part about quality and detail is just pure BULLSH*T.

Unless you're on the development team how can you even say that with a straight face. And given all the videos that they demoed of the game showing the detail regarding the slicing and dicing that you'll be doing as that cyborg ninja everything indicates that MGS Rising will be an extremely tight game with very unique gameplay elements.

But that's besides the point. I'd rather keep Mass Effect exclusive and give back MGS (which in my opinion is a little bit overrated).

Bioware this is one 360 customer that you've lost forever.

Dragon Age 2
Mass Effect 3

for every future bioware game you don't buy.....I will buy 2x the game on the ps3 ;)

BioWare isn't my friend; it's a business.  I'm sure BioWare devs enjoy their jobs but it's not called the gaming "industry" because they make games for the sheer pleasure.  I purchased ME2 and I received and played my game.  It's a transaction like any other.  I buy an apple; I buy a pair of shoes; I buy a game.  Purchasing a game doesn't form a sacred bond between myself and the developer.  My purchase of ME2 didn't contain a clause which stated that BioWare will grovel at my feet for eternity.

The only item BioWare "owes" me with a purchase of ME2 is ME2.  If I was dissatisfied with my purchase I had several options.  I could choose to trade or resell my game.  I could choose not to purchase another ME title.  I could choose to put ME2 away and not purchase any DLC.

Unless on 1/1/2011 the PS3 release causes a great biotic wind to sweep across the land and whisk away my 360 versions of ME1 and ME2 with their respective DLC's and my PC ME2 version, that release doesn't invalidate my purchases in any way.

ME2 was fine but it lacked the true essence of RPG that ME1 had.

And there's always YouTube to watch the cutscenes to find out what happens and what could happen.

@ ps3 fanboy above

Go ahead and waste your money on the extra copy then. I honeslty don't care. It's NOT MY money and that's the important thing.

God I hate ps3 and sony fanboys.  Such hypocritical liars.

It doesn't impact me that i bought a 360 for ME1 and ME2 rather consider a ps3?

It oesn't matter that the console I support is losing exclusives to the enemy?

What I am saying is that people are going to be punished for being fans of the series and Bioware because they're going to give things that were not originally a part of the game to people for free when the 360 players have just dropped tons of money on it. It's unfair.

This is how economy works. EA/BW will have to build a solid customer base for ME3 (and future releases?) on the PS3. Thus they'll want to sell a couple of ME2 copies first. I don't see how this is unfair to the fans. Prices go down over time. It has nothing to do with wanting to punish fans, it's strictly business.

Additionally, I'm kind of assuming that the PS3 version will launch at the current PC/360 price of $40 or whatever it is. If I'm misinformed and it will cost $60 and include the extra content, I gladly revoke my statement.

Gamestop.com and Amazon.com both have the pre-order for PS3's ME2 set at $59.99.  PC/360 versions are $29.99 right now.

I bought the collector's edition so that's $40 less than what I paid.  But I've enjoyed the game for the past 7 months.  I see that as a trade-off.

Pretty much any RPG worth its salt releases a GOTY or platinum edition approximately one year after its release.
Considering that ME2 was originally released in January, 2010, I'd expect to see the GOTY edition for 360/PC be released in January, 2011 and would expect it to include most, if not all, of the DLC.  Except for the beginning "intro" the 360/PC GOTY edition may very well be identical to the PS3 release.

Free with all the other GOTY versions that most likely come out in January along side the PS3 version.
Buying a 360 for ME1 and ME2 is a good choice. You get the experience of ME1 whereas PS3 does not.
You really shouldn't worry about exclusives leaving your precious console. They come and go.  I'm willing to bet MGS4(which sony does not own) will make it to the 360 based on how well MGS Rising will do. Microsoft does not own Mass Effect. They ahd there chance. They blewit. EA owns it now. And can do whatever the hell they please. Except with ME1, MIcrosoft still has publishing rights on that.
See, will not impact you at all. In the end, you still get the complete experience over the PS3 users.
If a PS3 owner having ME2 really hurts that much, seek counseling.

I'm gonna be so pissed if Ps3 gamers get them for free, i bought all of the downlads that required purchase.

I don't get how you don't understand me, its strange, you went through the schooling system of your country right?, So you do know how to read AND understand what you read?

Ok then, one more time for you,,

The part of my post which says "Seen in previous titles", MEANS the titles that ARE ONLY ON PS3, what i should have done was remove the letter 'S' from the word TITLES, as Guns of the patriots is the ONLY MGS TITLE ON PS3,

And as for guns of the patriots,, Microsoft decided to go with DVD DL format drive with the xbox 360, so disc swapping around 10 times just to complete the game would have just killed the it on that console.

There is even a joke made about this in the game its self!!

Anyway, we are off topic so.....

PS3-specific introduction it seems.

Makes a lot of sense IMO. So maybe there will be a possibility of PS3 owners getting to still make some of the major decisions.

THIS.
Man, I though exclusiveness/console wars were a thing of the past, but I see some people just can't stop.

Also, the rambling about "the true fans" being punished is pretty stupid, you get imported saves from ME1 and have the game a whole year prior the PS3 release, of course PS3 users are going to need some incentives to buy a game you can buy for 20 bucks today at a 40-60$ retail price, it's business.

Since KOTOR on XBOX 360 I have bought every Bioware game at full price at release. I could of easily gotten them for dirt cheap a year or two later but I didn't. The reason for this is because I wanted to support them. I wanted to give them my money to say I appreciated their game on my XBOX and I wanted them to be encouraged to make more and do my small part by being willing to spend at launch. I bought copies for my brother and my best friend as well each time.

KOTOR 2
Jade Empire
Mass Effect
Dragon Age
MassEffect 2
Plus every piece of DLC that was released.

I'm positive that I'm not the only one who sincerely wanted to support Bioware in this way considering their ridiculously huge sales figures.

However that’s OVER! It appears that Bioware was completely murdered by EA during its acquisition to form some unholy beast that I now call EA/Bioware. This new creature doesn’t really care about its loyal quality fans such as the ones waiting patiently for KOTOR 3 only to be given TOR. It just cares about how many more subfans it can get no matter how ambivalent, snide, uappreicative and insulting they are to the franchise.

Will I still buy EA/Bioware? Of course, even a twisted chimera of a company can make a quality product. However its now been downgraded to a bargain bin quality product. I'm not paying full price for any of their stuff anymore. It seems that EA/Bioware uses the money of its loyal fans to build a bridge across their backs so that they can give free candy to ****s.

Good Lord, people here talk like they had some birthright of being "true fans"
So, a guy which only has a PS3 and buys ME2 automatically becomes the enemy because he never played a Bioware game before? they have no right to become Bioware fans? they are "heretic"?
I'm really surprised that I have to write this down but, everyone was once oblivious of Bioware's existence and then BECAME a fan, it doesn't really matter whether you are a fan since Baldur's Gate, since KOTOR of since ME2 for PS3.
Contrary to what some people think Bioware don't owe you anything no matter how many years have you followed them of how many of their games you've bought, they're simply offering a product and it's up to you to buy it or not as KOKitten said up above, there's no clause stating Bioware will grove at your feet for eternity.
Guys, get the facts right, Bioware are a great company, they deliver high quality games and are supportive to their fans and community, but the don't owe you anything no matter since when you're their follower, they are a business in the videogame industry and so they're obviously going to try broaden their audience for a number of reasons, and they are in their most absolute right to do so.
