So long as ME3 come out first on the 360 & PC I am ok with the move

Get ready to wait longer for the ME3 you should have been playing sooner.

I'm actually kinda shocked by all the negative feedback for ME going to the PS3. If anything, this is a good thing; new players will finally be able to see what all the hubub is about, and we might actually see some of the original design concepts work their way back into the PS3 release of the game .

Great, more people enjoying ME2 Posted Image, I'll get this one too...

Saying things like Bioware sold out or that PS3 users are morons is just plain childish.
Also, remember that gaming is a business. We get charged small amounts for DLC that is anywhere from 20MB to 1.5GB ranging in price from $2 to $15. Adding the ME series to PS3 is a good business move for both Bioware and EA, and means a larger budget for ME3 and future entries into the Mass Effect universe.

Happy, I been and continue buying DLC like Kasumi and Overlord to support future developement of DLC and ME universe

And before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm a diehard PC gamer, occasional PS3 gamer, and a former Xbox gamer (5 failed systems tends to make someone slightly jaded). I'm just asking for people to calm down and think about what this means for the big picture, before making rash statements that make everyone look bad

Lot like my thinking...

It doesn't impact me that the ps3 fanboys will probably get all the DLC for FREE while I paid for them?

It doesn't impact me that i bought a 360 for ME1 and ME2 rather consider a ps3?

It oesn't matter that the console I support is losing exclusives to the enemy?

YEAH keep deluding yourself.

Wow... Now that's a fanboy.

Most of the rest of you could learn a thing or two from him.You see, while all of you are just playing a raging fanboy, this man LIVES IT!

GROUNDHOG DAY!

Mass Effect DLC - Yeah, we're planning some content that will bridge the story to Mass Effect 2... Or spend the whole time putting the game out for the PC.

Mass Effect 2 DLC - Yeah, we're planning some content that will bridge the story to Mass Effect 3... Or spend the next 6 months putting the game out for PS3.

Mass Effect 3 DLC - Yeah, we're planning some content that will, oh who are we kidding, we're fully going to be investing all our time on putting the game out for the Wii.

I'm sure it's been said countless times, if this 'bonus content' has even a hint of being PS3 exclusive I'm binning the series.

Whatever dude. Ultimately he has a point. If his reasons were as listed then yes he most sincerely has a right to be very concerned.

wow. 100 pages of crazy. why does someone think owning a xobox makes you suppirior to someone that owns a PS3. i guess my problem is i ****ing love video games so i spent my money on both. i do hate on the Wii but thats just not hard to do. your nuts if you think owning gears and halo is better then owning MGS and uncharted. thats basically what your argueing about since nothing maters between the two except exclusives. thats like saying you never use your left hand to masterbate for the simple fact that your already using your right. is that a good analogy?  i guess my porblem is i own both. oops. im rich. ****.

anyways, i think this can only be a good thing. it means more fans, money, fame for ME3, right? its not like bioware would make a trilogy and have the third installment be a stand alone story because PS3 doesnt have ME1. im sorta pissed about biotics sucking ass crack and the whole enemy defenses stopping all my god damned abilities.......i forgot what i was talking about. brett favre is a dick.

Why would you just bin the series that you know you have enjoyed so far?, dont you think thats a bit dumb?,
you know that you enjoyed the games and chances are that you will enjoy the next, so why count yourself out of it?

Im not understanding people reactions to this, maybe i missed something?

The exclusive content thing is a big deal to me. I pre-ordered at 2 different stores to get all of the content and went halves with a friend on his digital deluxe version for the 'exclusive' sniper rifle - not to mention Dragon Age for the armor. I begged and bought my way into the dr pepper items and am both totally satisfied and distraught at what I had to go through to get all the content for this title.

I'm quite confident in stating that the slightest piece of exclusive content for the PS3 will push me over the edge when it comes to this game. I'm not sure whether that is pathetic or not, but it is what it is.

The whole "PS3 getting free content and not us" and "But I bought Xbox for Mass Effect" bullcrap doesn't stand.

Games get GOTY editions with free content or certain DLCs gets a discount/goes free and everyone moves on. People bought PS3s at launch just for Final Fantasy 13 and look how that turned out. So stop ****ing. Bioware owes you NOTHING.

And don't get me started on this "loyalty" you speak of. You're loyal to nothing but your own selfish interests.

No he doesn't. He's a chicken running around with his head cut off letting out a few lasts bursts of panick before the end and so is everyone else that complains about this news.

"probably get all the DLC for FREE while I paid for them?"

Well, they had to wait a year to even play the game. Would you be willing to wait another five months if you could get the DLC for free?

"It doesn't impact me that i bought a 360 for ME1 and ME2 rather consider a ps3?"

Huh? Your 360 and copies of the game aren't going to explode because of this. So what is he complaining about?

"It oesn't matter that the console I support is losing exclusives to the enemy?"

You hear that? This is war baby! Bioware will now play the role of Benedict Arnold.

if you're referring to the "grass or no grass" from the demo screens that's old news and not even an issue, actual ps3 Mafia 2 screen: http://ps3.ign.com/d...?page=mediaFull

also I'm not at all referring to you, it's a statement regarding the nonsense of which this thread has become: I really thought people had advanced in terms of intuition and the like, but hell it looks like I'm completely mistaken.

The internet is at your fingertips for crying out loud there is information out there, stating what the hell the bonus content is, how the lack of ME1 for PS3 is being handled in terms of PS3 users who may not have experienced Mass Effect's universe already, DLC etc. But everyone is either too lazy to do some poking around, or just WANT something to complain or be rude to fellow gamers about.

I think there are too many people now who take gaming so seriously and way beyond a natural competitive nature, to the point in which it eats away at their lives and becomes destructive,

We all know (or should know), that computer games are make belief, a past time, something to play to take the edge of a long day at work or just drop some stress, but it seems that it has become the norm for people to put in absurd levels of play time with games and get so deeply immersed in to them that i wonder do they know where the real world is anymore?

I wonder IF some of these people reaslise what this compulsive behaviour is doing to them and if they have any control over that behaviour these days?

http://social.biowar...3/index/4492055

dont everybody strain themselves, it's going to take a little tiny bit of effort with scrolling clicking and obviously reading.

EDIT: Also links and information from various sources were listed in various posts in this thread HOWEVER.......because of the majority of AHHHHH BOYCOTT, NO NO NO BIOWARE NOT PS3 THEY'RE THE ENEMY, BETRAYAL, SELLING ALL MY BIOWARE STUFF THIS IS IT RAAAHHHHHH, posts well you have to sort through so much crap to get any information. Which is why I really think alot of people on here would rather ignore the information from sources, so they can continue to have something to complain and be angry about and talk crap about other GAMERS.

The complaining of, "Bioware's not loyal to us Xbox/PC fans anymore," reminds me of part of an article I read earlier.

http://www.cracked.c...re-gamer_p2.html

Of course free DLC is a wonderfully nice thought. But there's a reason its not free. All the DLC that is out there is created by BioWare employees. Those employees need to be paid. BioWare need to make money to pay their employees, so they can make more games and have more money to invest in those games.

Consider the free DLC that PS3 ME owners get as reimbursement, or as a replacement for not being able to play ME1 unless they buy a whole new system.

Bioware is toying with our minds. From this day forth, everything they say "no, never, not possible, etc." about, we should assume they are lying. 'Tis our job to cast light upon BW's dark secrets. That includes, but not limited to:

Shepard.
Reguardless of the end of ME2, you will not play as A Shepard, but as YOUR Shepard. Yet, Shepard never was YOUR Shepard to begin with. Shepard will not look the way you want him to. Shepard will not fight the way you want him to. Shepard will not make the decisions you want him to. In fact, Shepard never is, never was, nor ever will be YOUR Shepard.
Shepard is a lie.

Party members
There will be more party members for ME2. Yet, there never were party members to begin with. You can't romance party members. You can't have 2 party members with you at all times. you can't listen to your party members banter with one another. In fact, your party members never are, never were, nor ever will be party members.
The party members are a lie.

The Normandy
The Normandy is your own personal spaceship. Yet, the Normandy never was your ship to begin with. You can't explore the interior of the Normandy. Your can't upgrade the Normandy. You can't use the Normandy as the flagship of the anti-Reaper fleet. In fact, the Normandy never is, never was, nor ever will be the Normandy.
The Normandy is a lie.

Mass Effect
Mass Effect is a video game created by the skilled individuals at Bioware. Yet, Mass Effect never was a video game to begin with. You can't enjoy playing Mass Effect. You can't become emotionally attached to the characters. You can't access an ingame encyclopedia containing info on things that help to make the Mass Effect universe believeable. In fact, Mass Effect never is, never was, nor ever will be a video game created by the skilled individuals at Bioware.
Mass Effect is a lie.

Search your feelings; you know this to be true...

well at least it's something dude, rather than the possibly worst form of an announcement that started this topic, which resulted in such a chaotic mix of both ignorance and mental disorders.

he kind of has to be vague, they all do, but a bit of detail or assurance couldnt hurt you know.

edit : lol see the post directly above, that's what I'm talking about, it's already been established that it will not affect ME3's release date or schedule.......but alas someone else without the ability to poke around before speaking.

Guess I need to stop playing computer games and start doing console only. I kind of miss the old days when computer games ruled supreme in graphics, sounds, and mod-ability. <sighs>

Guess they might have ME1 available soon for download purchase via Playstation Store. Don't think they would create box for sale though.

Wish they would of considered putting ME1 on the PS3 as well so we can enjoy the first game as well. Oh well. Maybe some day, (though not likely.) It will certainly be great to see it on the PS3 but how do they intend to deal with the decisions one may have made in the first Mass Effect? A longer question and answer session with Miranda or a list of things you can check off at the beginning of the game?
