Well we had to pay for ME1 as well so I'm not exactly following you logic, are you suggesting if it were possible: ME1/ME2 and all DLC bundle (up to Jan 11) for $60? And that would be fair to justify the purchase of a "year old game" (and this is my main point of contention.........its not a year old for PS3
And that's where you are mistaken. The only release date of importance is the INITIAL release date. The game is going to be a year old in January, period. If the situation were reversed, would you even consider buying some year-old PS3 exclusive at full price if it was the exact same game that shipped? And even if you did, do you think Joe Sixpack would?
p.s. PC gamers got Bring Down the Sky for free with the PC version of ME1. For the same reason.
No its really not a year old. Regardless, I would buy
Heavy Rain for example for $60.
ME2 like other top quality games stand alone on their merits.............Additional enticements largely are not needed...it was never shipped to PS3 in the first place. There are few if any games or anticipated releases in Jan 11 for PS3 that are on par w/ ME2.
Somewhere along the lines of this decade there has become some twisted sense of entitlement.
PS3 owners who are interested will largely buy it regardless. According to you, and Bioware my DLC really is worth nothing. It certainly makes me take a step back and recognize some perspective.
Kasumi was released in what May? I paid $7 there is not any inclination that that price will be reduced at any point in time, even today 3 months later it has retained its $7 market value.
