Did MS own only the "publishing rights" for that? Do they still own them?



If so, seems to me you can change things around a bit....add some elements...delete some and create a new "Mass Effect" that is separate and distinct from the first game and able to be sold on PS3.



Even if the can't all one has to do isadd some blurry "dream" video and new audio as Shep blacks in and out before waking up on Lazarus that takes the player through the basic story and the big choices and lets the player make them before the game begins. It's not tough.

I think all of the fan boy fears will end if Bioware issues a clear statement that maps out EXACTLY what this means for 3. The PS3 game will include DLC we know that so quit ****ing about it lol but the only VALID argument to come from this is how will this effect the trilogy as a whole. Will 1 matter at all to 3 if the answer is a definitive and official from Bioware YES then crisis averted, if they say that 1 will no longer matter then that a load of BS and I may just go to PS3 for 2 and 3 and call it a day but this unknown is why the fan boys and trolls keep lurking around on EVERY message board basically copy and pasting posts on them all lol.

As loyal Bioware customers I feel that we are at least owed a press release or a simple IGN interview to set the record straight for Xbox customers, good or bad we deserve to know.

It appears that the only extra elements they have decided on so far is an extended beginning, that goes through some of the ME1 information/background, they have not even said it will be playable, and they have yet to decide if any DLC content will be put in with the PS3 packaging.

Well at least they are allowing ME 1 choices to be made so that players can decide to save the Council and Wrex, and maybe to choose a ME 1 romance option as well.  This gives me hope that Bioware won't write out all elements from ME1 for ME3 because of the PS3 release.

It´s good that Mass Effect 2 is coming out to Playstation 3 so that more people could enjoy the game though it sucks that they can´t enjoy Mass Effect.
