All I want is Uncharted on Xbox. :(

That is about as likely as Halo on PS3

They said that about Mass Effect and look what happened =P

haha also exactly we dont kow what will happen

Yes. Yes we do. Microsoft would not even consider putting Halo on any console other than the Xbox. Nor would Sony with Uncharted. Besides, Uncharted wasn't that great to begin with. To be more on topic, I feel somewhat betrayed by Bioware (or to be more accurate, EA). They're giving PS3 gamers content that 360 and PC owners payed, or likely will pay, their hard earned money for. And if they're not giving out the DLC as "bonus content", than what, PS3 exclusive content? That would just be a complete ****-slap to, oh, I don't know, their core f**cking fanbase! And there's no way that EA's money grubbing paws would never allow people who already own the game get the content for free even though it had been released free on the PS3. Let me end this by saying that I harbor no resentment towards the PS3 or PS3 gamers, it's a fine console and it certainly has it's place (as a high-def DVD player... no sorry, sorry). I would be nowhere near upset were it not for this announcement of "bonus content". I would be extatic. But this just makes my blood boil.

The sad thing is I actually think I would like Bioware more if it was still under MS, atleast they wont pull  this ****.
They should have fought for BW though, not just let EA have them, hell maybe ME2 would be more like ME1 if MS were publishing *sigh*.

MS didnt own BioWare so.....they cant let anyone "have" them. MS tried to purchase BioWare, but obviously the offer was declined.

I mean as publisher, they shoulkd have bought them though, I dont like what EA is doing.

Well, you can't, strictly speaking "unmap" powers. You can only change which power is mapped. I don't see why you'd want to completely do away with mapped powers.

i dont like mapping my squad member's powers, i did it by accident i like to be able to hit the d-pad and the appropriate power be used against the appropriate armor..

Well, I guess you could just avoid the D-pad all-together then. If you start out with two new squad members then the mapped powers are rewritten to be not-mapped.

Oh, my God... PLEASE, Bioware! Find a way to work ME1 in!!! I don't care if you have to delay the game for a whole year to do it, just get it in there so I can see Torhagen's reaction!!!

They can't. Microsoft would probably sue them out of existence if they pulled that **** with Mass Effect 1.
And rightfully so.

They could just pull a Tecmo.

You know, change some content, slap a "Sigma" "Alpha" or "Genesis" on the end of the title, that sort of thing.

I'm an owner of both a PS3 and a X360 and if bioware is smart (which, i'm going to go out on a limb and assume they are) and expect me or anyone else to pay $60 for it, it might be wise to do the following.

1. All DLC from the 360 made readily available on the PS3 (at the very least the armor, weapons and character packs, among the armor and weapons be the collector armor, terminus armor, black storm heavy weapon , collector assault rifle)

2. Allow us to choose the choices our characters made in ME1

I'm more upset at EA than Bioware at the moment. However upsetting this is right now, I'm going to reserve final judgment until I know exactly how this port will play out, and how it will affect the most important thing:

Mass Effect 3

I'll probably get ME2 on PS3 because I heard it's good - but they should have just sold it together with ME1. No special introduction sequence for ME2 is going to make up for a full games worth of story.

MS owns the rights to mass effect1 so it very unlikely that it will come to ps3.
i own both on pc and ill still get this on ps3 when it comes out, when a few of my friends found out about it comming to ps2 thier responce was a simple "dont care, just happy to be getting ME2"

I think they should add more questions during Miranda's interrogation on the shuttle to Freedom's Progress.

I can't say I'm too phased by this news.

I'm actually rather
happy that some of my PS3 friends will now be able to play a game I have
enjoyed so much. I think some of the Microsoft fanboys need to take a
deep breath and stop their greed, Microsoft have done extremely well for
themselves.

Fanboys, the fact is, the release of ME1 on the
360/PC and the ability to transfer saves from those games to ME2 will
offer a level of immersion in the Mass Effect Universe not avaliable on
the PS3.

AND every major Sony franchise of the previous generation has either of the following:
  • A game on the Xbox 360
  • A game coming to the Xbox 360
  • Was avaliable first, on the Xbox 360.
Examples:
  • Metal Gear Solid: Rising (Coming to 360, first MGS title to do so)
  • Final Fantasy XII (First single player FF title on a Non-Sony system in over a decade.)
  • GTA IV: Lost and the Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony (Avaliable first on Xbox 360.)
  • Tomb Raider: Legend (Tomb Raider was a popular Sony franchise for YEARS
and even now, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is avaliable first,
    on 360.)
Heck, there's even a Katamari game on the 360...
So it's only been a matter of time, with the PS3 moving strength to
strength that franchises thoguht to be "Only on 360" would become
multiplatform too.

Not to mention, the COST of developing these AAA titles like the Mass Effect games is astronomical (Space pun)
Mass
Effect's availability on other systems means that companies like BioWare
and EA can logically place more funding into further titles in the
series.  Would you shovel millions of dollars into something avaliable
in only a limited number of places?

The only reason games become
"Exclusives" these days, is because the folks at Sony or Microsoft offer
large sums of cash to keep that title solely on their system. it's not a
bribe, but the only way you can make these massive games like Mass
Effect, with YEARS worth of development, financially viable.

Honestly, the way some of you
reacted, it's like Sony had genetically steriised your people so only a
few in 1000 births were viable...

Very cool but they also need to bring ME1 as a bundle to the PS3 with ME2 on 1 disc. Cause if I go on a trip and I don't have a laptop I'll just buy the PS3 version to play ME2. :)

Frankly, neither EA nor Microsoft are anywhere near my goodbooks. I'd sooner say "SEGA should have bought BioWare." And that's not something I'm inclined to say. That said, at least SEGA hasn't fed me a console that melts its own entrails and an operating system that causes me headaches on a daily basis. And EA, I just don't really like, but at least they aren't mindlessly loyal to that other company I don't like.

Multi-console has its drawbacks, but whining so hard about a series going multiconsole as if it were treason or something--that's just selfish.

Couldn't there be a way to export ME1 saved game files from the Xbox or the PC via a pen drive or the internet onto the PS3.  Then PS3 owners can play through ME2 with decisions made in ME1.
