Aradace is so butthurt lol

I am? lol I wish someone would have told me before now.  Doesnt being "butthurt" entail being "angry" about something? If so Im not angry in the slightest....I find myself getting angry at very few things of late.  Way I see it, pointless to actually get angry over alot of things...Especially matters of the internet where everyone hides behind a pseudonymn (spelling?)  Secondly, if you actually read some of my OTHER posts, you'd realize that I am also FOR the PS3 release...*Gasps* Yes, that's right, a person can be both FOR and AGAINST something....Amazing isnt it? lol.(For it in the way that disc swap would be non existant)  But honestly, I fail to see how Im apparently "Butthurt" about anything? Clarify for me?

Who knows maybe they will release ME1 on ps3, or more likely maybe that "hours of additional content" will be a dream/memory sequence that recaps the first game and places the player at the feet of all the important decisions from me1that shape me2. So it won't hopefully be as much of a free pass as say a selection of A.B.C. choices in some prompt asking players how they want to start.

It's not so much the fact that we feel that they arent going to matter in ME3...It's MORE the possibility that we fear that they arent going to matter on a "lower" scale in the terms of, as I just stated, PS3 players getting a "free pass" to choose how they want from the beginning.  Im not saying that this IS going to happen of course, it's just a concern.

No, it's definitely that people were worried about ME1 choices not mattering in ME3. People were spouting conspiracy theories about how ME3 is now going to ignore ME1 choices for the sake of cross-platform equality--this of course because the PS3 version CAN'T POSSIBLY have any means by which ME1 choices can be accounted for, right? Right?! RIGHT?!?!?! Posted Image

As for the "free pass" thing, I consider it a fair trade for not actually being able to play the first game in the first place. I like to think that most people who played ME1 played it because ME1 was fun, not just because they were going through the motions of setting up their fun with ME2.

I guess the "silver lining" is this:

Given the chance that my 360 dies at some point before Im able to get a new one....I can "hopefully" take solace in knowing that I wont have to purchase all of my DLC over again (part of the "hours of additional content" Id hope) if I chose to play on PS3 and also be able to make said "major" decisions in the manner previously mentioned and NO DISC SWAP YAYYYY!!! lol.  When I look at it that way, it doesnt irritate me as much.....As much heh.

Exactly, who cares that the PS3 will get to make decisions at the beginning of the game pertaining to ME1 when those of us on the 360 and PC can actually play the game.

I'm still going to buy it on the PS3 though.  Purely for scientific reasons.

As much as I hate to admit it....Yes, it would.  And you forgot to mention NO DISC SWAPPING lol....While Im against folks getting a "free pass", it's also a double edged sword....For reasons already stated about in the off chance my 360 finally goes before being able to afford a new one.

Meh, HD is good and all....But from what Ive seen of HD it doesnt wow me enough for me to want to drop the money on it....Again, not denying that there IS a difference...Just not enough for "converting" me. lol

I just do not understand. Are some folks upset because they feel PS3 owners will be getting special treatment over their previous experiences? Are some upset because they fear all the previously released DLC will be included on PS3 version?

I actually had both ME2 and DA:O (girlfriend) on 360 before and played through to completion. I decided, in part because of the toolset community, to switch over to PC for DA:O and then seeing how graphically superior it was, I switched over ME2 as well (thank you EA Store super sale!). And I do have a PS3 and actually buy more for that system than the others.

My very first reaction to the announcement of the PS3 version was excitement. How many times have you told friends that they need to check out this new book or new movie in the theaters? You do that because you are passionate about the book or movie. Same with a game. You tell them they need to check it out. So for those who are passionate about Mass Effect can now tell your friends, who have only had a PS3, that they can now experience that same passion that you felt.

Imagine the first two films of the Lord of the Rings trilogy came out ONLY in AMC Theaters. And then 6 months later it was announced that Regal Theaters would be getting the second film of the trilogy. Those who now go see the second film at Regal will be treated to extra bonus footage to give those people an overview of the first film that they may have not seen. Are you, the AMC person who experienced the entirety of the first film and second film, going to be jealous of the Regal person because now they get to experience only the second film in full and maybe a water-downed version of the first? Really?

As far as the previously released DLC. I think ME2 across most retailers is $30 or $40 depending on platform or price break. The total points of all DLC for ME2 is 1760, which I think equals to a little more than $20. If you buy ME2 for 40 plus the DLC you get the 360/PS3 price point of $60 for the game. So it equals out no matter how you slice it.

I wouldn't necessarily call Anand Lal Shimpi a liar even tho he was paid 20k by Microsoft for his work. When he did his studies he also used a console provided by Microsoft headquarters as a freebie and not a store bought console. So technically you can say he was honest about his findings and that it was technically Microsoft that lied when they gave him a console which was 4 versions higher than those released at launch. You can easily get your hands on any watt reader and do your own power tests. I guarantee you that your findings will be well within the same ranges I posted.

Seriously, I don't understand what X360 owners are upset over either. ME to the PS3 means more people can experience the series.

Yes, Bioware you are very smart (Sarchasm).

Soooo, you think it's clever to reward your loyal Xbox 360 and PC audience who have paid for all the DLC and continued to play your games to this point, by giving us a middle finger and giving the PS3 users "Bonus content"?

PS3 users chose the PS3 over xbox, meaning they chose to play the games on offer for the PS3. Almost every PS3 user I have spoken to despises Mass Effect.

Honestly, all I can say is "why?" Why would you betray your loyal fans like this? We stuck by you, now the PS3 players get favouritism?

How do I sound paranoid? and what is there to be paranoid about? I am simply stating the facts that have previously been covered in at least 2 Microsoft press releases, at least 1 Sony press release, on CNET, in News Week and on G4. Microsoft has received much scrutiny for their tampering in tech tests especially around the time when the elites were being released. Nothing paranoid about it. Just the facts as they are.

Thats an easy one. Because Microsoft hates you. Seriously Microsoft has always hated its xbox users. All they see you as is profit making sheep. Thats why they didn't do squat about the fact that 82% of launch xbox's didn't survive a year, and thats why they continued to not do squat about the 33% of xbox consoles after launch that don't make it past 6 months. Thats also why they don;t give a crap about the class action lawsuit they are in due to the fact that many xbox's scratch and ruin game discs. It's also why they lie to your face about having HD graphics and sound when its just SD. Its also why you pay obscenely for online play. Look at everything Microsoft has done to its users since Xbox's release, they have been betraying you since day one. You've just got batterd wife syndrome and refuse to see it because you think for some reason they hit you because they love you.

Bioware is finally making the move because simply put they are tierd of the abuse by microsfot. they are tierd of the unfair charges and the rediculous contracts they force game designers to design content with no hope of ever seeing any profit for themselves from that content.
