Yes, Bioware you are very smart (Sarchasm).

Soooo, you think it's clever to reward your loyal Xbox 360 and PC audience who have paid for all the DLC and continued to play your games to this point, by giving us a middle finger and giving the PS3 users "Bonus content"?

PS3 users chose the PS3 over xbox, meaning they chose to play the games on offer for the PS3. Almost every PS3 user I have spoken to despises Mass Effect.

Honestly, all I can say is "why?" Why would you betray your loyal fans like this? We stuck by you, now the PS3 players get favouritism?

Thats an easy one. Because Microsoft hates you. Seriously Microsoft has always hated its xbox users. All they see you as is profit making sheep. Thats why they didn't do squat about the fact that 82% of launch xbox's didn't survive a year, and thats why they continued to not do squat about the 33% of xbox consoles after launch that don't make it past 6 months. Thats also why they don;t give a crap about the class action lawsuit they are in due to the fact that many xbox's scratch and ruin game discs. It's also why they lie to your face about having HD graphics and sound when its just SD. Its also why you pay obscenely for online play. Look at everything Microsoft has done to its users since Xbox's release, they have been betraying you since day one. You've just got batterd wife syndrome and refuse to see it because you think for some reason they hit you because they love you.

Bioware is finally making the move because simply put they are tierd of the abuse by microsfot. they are tierd of the unfair charges and the rediculous contracts they force game designers to design content with no hope of ever seeing any profit for themselves from that content.

I completely disagree with everything in this paragraph and I'm going to tell you why.

"Thats an easy one. Because Microsoft hates you. Seriously Microsoft has always hated its xbox users. All they see you as is profit making sheep."

Excuse me, but I digress. If they "hate" us and view us as profit making sheep then why did the PS3 upon launch cost two times more than a standard 360 at it's time of launch? They've just now lowered their prices to our beginning base price to help increase sales. Please, do not say that the 360 had been out longer because the standard edition 360 at the time only costed $299.99 while the standard PS3 during it's launch period was more along the lines of $599.99. Are you sure that you're assessment about Microsort viewing it's users as cattle is correct? Despite the fact that you do not have to pay for PSN I'd hardly consider it fun for a few reasons. It's highly faulty and unreliable due to the PSN error login that took place early this year, also it has no cross-game chat so that means everyone in your party absolutely has to be playing the same game just to chat. Another thing, the pricing of the accessories are incredibly high even today. Please tell me why the PS3 wired headset is $14.99 at gamestop and the bluetooth headset is is $49.99? At least the 360 headsets come standard with the 360 console. While we may not have a bluetooth the 360 Headset Earforce XLC  is just as adequate and it costs about ten dollars less. Given the fact that it'd be necessary to replace the standard headset that you get for free with the console. I can get a Xbox 360 4GB Console for about 200 dollars now. Even less if I use my gamestop discount. I fail to see how Microsoft is bleeding so much money out of us when you're paying the dividend for your console and accessories.

"Thats why they didn't do squat about the fact that 82% of launch xbox's didn't survive a year, and thats why they continued to not do squat about the 33% of xbox consoles after launch that don't make it past 6 months. It's also why they lie to your face about having HD graphics and sound when its just SD."

Okay, this is merely exaggeration. Simply because while there may have been a few errors at the beginning of 360's launch period they eventually did offer free support with your RROD and any other problems that you may have had upon the perchase of your 360 despite warrenty time. I got my 360 roughly a year after it's release and I just recently got the RROD two Decembers ago and I've only had my games crash only a hand full of times. I'm able to leave my console on for days on end with it melting out or scratching my disks. So I can hardly see those minimal problems as anything of impending importance. I do not flip over HD graphics because they are
unnecessary unless you have a Plasma or a HD TV (Which I and plenty of other people do not have). So the graphics on the 360 are adequate enough for me not to complain.

"Bioware is finally making the move because simply put they are tierd of the abuse by microsfot. they are tierd of the unfair charges and the rediculous contracts they force game designers to design content with no hope of ever seeing any profit for themselves from that content."

Bioware is making the jump to the PS3 userbase because they're sales are lower than the game's actual reputation. I wouldn't exactly say that Microsoft is abusing them at all since it's a known fact that they've been supporting them since Kotor and yet Kotor didn't go to the PS2 at all despite it legendary reputation and popularity. It's all about the sales to Bioware, which makes it all about the money and they could care less about the fans being upset that the PS3 users getting bonus content that they probably won't even bother to release on the 360. They didn't say an hour or a specific amount of minutes of bonus content. Let me rehash they said HOURS, and that's plural for more than one. So I'm estimating that whatever PS3 is getting exclusive that's something the 360 users are gonna wanna have minus the ME1 flashback allowing you to make your decisions.

Ya
You should check you facts buddy. The first released Ps3 which was an 80 gig cost 499 not 599 which was exactly the same price as xbox 360 at the time. They were the same price at release so don't try to pull that BS. They didn't raise it to 599 untill months later for the 120 gig. As for the headsets ps3 is compatable with any blue tooth headset and their are many out there that are under 15 bucks. Also what are you talking about? there was no headset standard in either xbox 360 or xbox 360 elites releases. Sure they have bundles now but guess what they also have bunbles for ps3 for relativly the same price if not cheaper than xbox 360. and you also have no idea what your talking about. There is no login error anymore and there is cross game chat. and ooh 200 bucks for a 4gb xbox do you realize for litrally the same price you could get a used 80 gb ps3? hrm 4gb vs 80 I wonder which one is better. As far as kotor goes it sucked balls onconsole and was only ever good on PC so that doesn't really count for ****. As for the 83% and 33% those are not exaggerations those are numbers given by EB games after a study they did in canada. So please check your facts buddy.

i got my xbox at launch i got a headset with it?

and you can cross game chat on ps3? how im tired of writing messages to my friends playing other games.

ya sure about that? I got both xbox and elites on release and all I got was one controller and the audio video wires, didn't even give me a HDD on the first xbox 360 release.

KOTOR was a great game. It is only your OPINION that it "sucked balls" on the consoles. You have a habit of making statements as though they are fact when they are not. I suggest you work on that.

You are soo wrong dude I got my 80 first day of launch for 499. It wasn't untill 1 week later that price jumped to 599 because of the game bundles they released it with. Now in japan they only had the 20 and 60 on release but here in the united states 80 was in the lineup for the release and depending on where you got it it only cost 499.

What makes it "better" is that fact you get more for the cost. thats jsut like everything else. If you pay more for less its worse. you understand? so its not a blnaket it statment at all it a statement based on econimics. and Yes korot sucked on console why? because you could do more with the PC versions. It had more online modes and had a heck of allot more customization compared to its console counterpart. Plus the consoles grpahics were worse and the controls were clunky so its fair to say it sucked balls. Maybe you should go back and play it again so you canremember jsut how bad it was.

The 80G wasn't released until August of '07.  At the November launch in 2006, there were two models available.  A 20G at $500 and a 60G at $600.  Those are the facts.  End. of. story.

And - Instead of responding again.  It is impossible to leave a voice chat room on the PS3 without disconnecting.

yeah a 135 psu but there are more parts on the console than just the psu and depending on which version it is if you put a watt detector up to it it will read anywhere from 185 to 215.

I was referring to the power supply unit, which has a maximum output of 135 W. I'm no electrician, but how can the box consume more than that? Unless the PSU itself consumes as much?

No they did not. Listen, you might want this to be true, but it's not. The 80gig model did not come out until later. As a person above me stated. You are mistaken. The ONLY two models for the PS2 at launch in the US were the 40 gig at 499 and the 60 gig at 599.

http://playstation.a...pecsDetails.htm

The 80 gig model also debuted for 599 when it first came out.

the power supply bottlenecks it so at any given time everything receives 135 watts of power. Thats not to say its not consuming much more than that. So you have to measure how much the machine pulls in with a watt detector. the power supply just determines when where and how the power gets distributed to the different parts.

Yeah.  There is no cross game chat.  I honestly don't know how they will pull it off unless they get a third party like skype to run it for them.

What are you serious? lol who plays a single player game while talking to your friends on chat? its like going to a pictures and watching a film while on the phone, just ruins the experience lol.

It was first released November 11th in japan and the only two models were the 20 and the 60. when it was released here in the US on the 17th they had the 80 in the lineup. I have the receipt to prove it.

Sorry dude, you're either mistaken or you are a flat out liar.  Not sure which yet.

the power supply bottlenecks it so at any given time everything receives 135 watts of power. Thats not to say its not consuming much more than that. So you have to measure how much the machine pulls in with a watt detector. the power supply just determines when where and how the power gets distributed to the different parts.

Ok, thanks for good answer. Now I'm actually curious to check. If I get one and check, I'll make sure to let you know the results. :)

i love mass effect. ive played 1 and 2 on pc cuz 360 is a crap console, but my pc has no graphics capability so this is my dream come true.

Right....Xbox is the crap console....Uh-huh...Ok....Let me draw your attention to the class action lawsuit currently in progress against Square/Enix and Sony due to their PS3 copies of Final Fantasy XIII actually BREAKING consoles.  Where Sony actually commented on how they know that there are certain "technical issues" with the PS3 causing this problem.  The funny part about this lawsuit though is that Sony is pointing the finger at Square and Square is pointing the finger at Sony (Deja Vu anyone ala BP? lol).

Edit: I should also add that I own both cosoles and love my PS3 but at the same time, Sony has been wracked with "issues" of late.  And also add that my Xbox runs 10 times cooler (temp wise) than my PS3 even on scortching hot days.  So where as the PS3 MAY be better in some regards "graphically"....It's inferior in terms of it's "life span" and "Baggage" associated with the console.

lol life span? your crazy. you just need to know how to take care of your system. not the case with 360, play too long it breaks.

a console that melts its own entrails

BTW.
My 360 is three years old and has never "melted its own entrails".

I'm in the same boat, and apparently we're lucky. :?

Me too, but only two years.  Yet, I'm on my 4th PS3 in 3 years.  In the gaming community that I belong to, which is mainly PS3 based, there are maybe 2 or 3 out of 40 who haven't lost at least one PS3.  While I love each system, both consoles have a history of hardware issues.

i like how suddenly everybodies ps3 stars breaking when mass effect is announced and NOW ppl claim that ps3 is worse than 360 because it breaks more. isnt that why xbox sails were so high because they kept breaking and ppl kept buying them.

The 80G wasn't released until August of '07.  At the November launch in 2006, there were two models available.  A 20G at $500 and a 60G at $600.  Those are the facts.  End. of. story.

And - Instead of responding again.  It is impossible to leave a voice chat room on the PS3 without disconnecting.

its funny how i dont experience that. little girls are complaining about the faults of each system. OMG SONY YOUR ROBBING US!!! EA you screw up games (how exactly?) I own all systems and i have my original systems and never had any of the problems you ppl speak of. getting disconnected from chats? your internets messed up?

Man, I'm not claiming that at all.  I love my PS3.  And I have had friends lose multiple360's while their PS3 has been fine.  I've just been unlucky on the PS3 side.  Most people I know have gone through at least one of each.  I think it is pretty safe to say that the hardware on both sides of the aisle this generation has been disappointing in its durability.

You'd be surprised.  I have friends who are constantly in party chat, despite the fact they are all doing something different.  For example, you can take a look at the party and you'll see one in a SP game, one on Facebook, one listening to Last.fm and one just hanging out.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be in a conversation while I'm playing a SP game.  Most of the time I'm online I have my status set to "show offline" or "busy" so as to be undisturbed.  But each to his/her own.

I have both consoles and like them both.  Each has something which is a little bit better than the other.  I definitely prefer LIVE's features over PSN's (I pay for XBL Gold and PS Plus so the "free" aspect is nullified).  The PS3 is a bit quieter than the 360.  I prefer the rechargeable batteries for the 360 controller over the plug & recharge of the PS3 controller.  I like the 360 controller better than the sixaxis.  However, the sixaxis motion control is really cool.  Heavy Rain was an excellent use of the sixaxis.

I never did understand console wars.  What is the difference if one person prefers the PS3 and another prefers the 360?  How can it possibly have any affect on a person's life if someone else wishes to play on a different console.  Do people get this upset if someone wants to drink Coke rather than Pepsi?  Or if chocolate ice cream is preferred over strawberry?
