Lets prove how uniformed  you are.

1. Price and if it's to high or low depends on the person and how much money they have.
2. The PS3 system itself still brings no profit to sony.
3. No developers said the PS3 was a horrible to make games for. They just said it was harder. They still think this, but sony has made it easier for them to make games on the PS3 with better dev kits.
4. Quality reasons from a game maker or magazine are all based on opinion.
5. People can say what they want. That guy you quote speaks of his PERSONAL OPINION. Not fact.
6. Platinum games needs to stop worrying about which system is better or worse, and concentrate on not making so much crap.

Just a couple of things as I agree with most.  The PS3 is actually now turning a profit with each console sold.  They hit the loss/profit margin at a little bit later of a date than the 360 did in it's current cycle.  And Platinum's Bayonetta got really good reviews.  It's not really my genre so I don't know personally, but people really dug it.

And let's be honest, there is no doubt that you can get a better looking game on the PS3 than the 360 if you put the time into it and understand how they machine works.  There is nothing on the 360 that has approached what was accomplished with Uncharted or Killzone.  Anybody who tries to disagree with that is fooling themselves.

idk man microsoft wasnt very happy with the announcement if they ever
did try to port the 1st one im sure MS lawyers would be on EA's and
bioware's asses

But, why is it such a problem if other
system owners want get the game. Yes Boo Hoo, Microsoft loses exclusive
rights for the original...I thought PC also changed that.

I
doubt that many customers will buy a system for 1 game, if they do those
people are idiots. Microsoft has a ton of Exclusive games (halo for
those people who live under rocks, for one. also Gears of War). The
people who buy the game will buy it for whatever system they have. It is
unrealistic to think that a person would buy an entire system because
that system carries 1 game.

Me1 is very old in game standards
now, I doubt that many Me1 games are getting sold right now, even a few
months after the second game came out.

Watch who you're calling an idiot.
I bought an original XBOX for my brother just to play KOTOR and till this day he's thanking me for introducing him to Bioware.
Money well spent.

Personally, I don't play my ps3 because there are no good FPS's besides Resistance. (Any multlatform games I already have on my xbox)

It seems like the genre of games that Microsoft and Sony produce are extremely different. I've been subtly noticing that PS3 has a lack of RPGs in the same respect that the 360 does. It seems like they'd rather go the Action-adventure route.

I agree on the RPG's.  Though Valkyria and Demon's Souls went a long way in helping ease the shortfall.  Honestly, if you are a FPSer, then the 360 is the system for you.  If you like a bunch of different genre's, then I think the PS3 fits better.  I honestly find myself buying more games for the PS3, but I probably play just as much on the 360 because of online FPS MP.

You can always tell who the clueless are. They start with "yeah the 360 is the system for you if you only want FPS games". Get some new material. Saying it doesn't make it true.

As an owner of both systems for years, I wouldn't consider myself clueless.  I stand by what I said above because for the most part it's true and if you look at the history of both systems going back to last generation, it's always been that way.

they are probably afraid that their xbox wont sell anymore because after Reach and gears 3 bungie and epic are going multiplatform also alot of their exclusive XBLA games a being ported over to the ps3 with extra content giving people a reason to ditch their xbox and just go with a ps3 idk sony is strong arming them and microsoft cant really fight back

I love how sony fanboys just want to so desperately believe that the 360 is going away. It's not going anywhere. People love the system, and the system still sells. You're nonsense is JUST as stupid as the Xbox fanboys whining about how they were shafted some how with ME2 going to PS3. You're all a bunch of morons.

i never said anything about the xbox disappearing i just said that the ps3 has been getting alot of exclusive content  that xbox players arent and that they are beating on the competition
but that makes me a fanboy even though i love my xbox 360

It's a wonder why this didn't happen sooner. The 360 is a **** console; the disc format and technical power is inferior to the PS3, and it has a stupidly lesser number of exclusives compared to the PS3 (No, games like Mass Effect 2 are not "exclusives" as they are available on the PC, as well (Which is the gaming platform of choice for games of Mass Effect 2's kind, as well as most other genres)). And before you call me out for being a "olol Sony fanboy," note that I explicitly stated that the PC is better as a gaming device than all three consoles for games like ME2 (And I happen to own all three of those consoles, as well), and note that what I stated about the Xbox 360 are objective facts (There really is a much higher number of quality PS3 exclusives than quality 360 exclusives, and the disc format and power of the 360 is definitely inferior), not subjective opinions open to debate.

With that said, as a PS3 owner who already owns the PC version of Mass Effect 2, I probably will not be purchasing the game again, unless the game doesn't have a "default" Renegade-centric backstory (As Mass Effect 2's default Shepard has). Make it so that you can customize the world you start out in, BioWare, if releasing a special-edition ME1/ME2 combo pack for the console isn't feasible.

you really aren't going to question ps3's price again and try to hide your lack of info with a link are you?
because only in your world ps3 is overpriced.
otherwise we now that first ps3 versions brought no profit for sony, for the simple fact that they were sold cheaper than what they had cost sony.

and you say ps3 is a mess, and many designers said ps3 is horrible to design on, but guess what?
now they admit they were wrong.

GamerZines bring you some new information about Homefront, including PS3 chosen as lead platform on console development for “quality reasons”

Scott Steinberg even goes further, and says making the PS3  lead platform will make the Xbox 360 games look “even better.”

Platinum Games confirming that the PS3 is the development lead this time around. "We're leading development on PS3," says director Shinji Mikami. "Obviously each console has its own unique requirements and limitations, but we feel if we can create a good enough presentation on PS3, we'll be off to a good start."

We'd better stop picking on him. His brain is going to overload from trying to think of something remotely intelligent to say.

or his mom might call the FBI on us for cyber bullying. Lol Point being, you're being told by not just me but by nearly everyone on this forum that you are wrong and gaming wise uneducated. What will it take for you to give up? You wouldn't know how to take a loss gracefully if it up and slapped you in the face. Which I'm pretty sure thats what happened now. I don't need to verify myself with a link. The fact is he John Carmack was stating ALL FACTS. You're just biasly, stupidly, and ignorantly stating opinions that you believe to be fact. Don't take it from me when I call you an idiot. Take it from the majority that are all also subtly calling you an idiot.

It never ceases to amaze me how shocked the gaming community gets when commercial organisations behave like commercial organisations. BioWare/ Ea exist to make a profit. So naturally they will seek to expand their audience through cross platform development. In bio Ware's defence. They have achieved that rarest of things, a game with a good story line and characters one actually cares about. From the start this project was planned as a trilogy and this is obvious to anyone who has played both games. I find it hard to believe that the development team and writers would spend hours writing thousands of lines of code just to through it away to appease Sony corp,

No chance mate. DLC's are EA's way of ensuring a revenue stream for the 2nd hand games market.

Seriously? FFXIII was essentially FFX stripped of any and all side-content, exploration, and strategy.

It wasn't a terrible game, but I certainly wouldn't list it as one of the franchise's best.

Lol I didn't say it was the "best" I just said I thought it was an excellent game. While it did share some simularities to FFX I would hardly label it as the same. It does have one side quest in Oerba though which I've heard about and have yet to make it to myself. The gameplay is just strategic and chaotic. A new twist for Square Enix, but a new twist that I like. It's challenging.

Jeez. We're getting the game a year later! sure, we're grateful but like most GOTY editions I want the extra content to be on disc.

No, not really. As opposed to previous FF games, which actually took some level of strategy to complete, most bosses in FFXIII's challenge is due directly to how leveled your character is or how high the boss's stats are. Player attack patterns are, for the most part, routine and repetitive (And this is coming from someone who put a good 30+ hours in to it and is at the end of the game).

It's like Square-Enix came up with a good idea for fast-paced, action-packed combat and just barely implemented it, without taking a second look at the enemies they included for you to fight.

Weapon pack DLCs should not be included in the DLC given.

Nah story content is fine. Including weapon packs from the get go would make the game unbalanced.

I see your point but that's what I like about it is how fast-paced and hands on it is. It could do with a little more magic and combat capabilities but all and all I think it's a step in the right direction for FF games. At least in FFX you got to use Ultima, and Holy without having to cast a limit break, but in FFXIII you could access every class your teammates could.

dude....EA is including Dead space 2 and dead space extraction HD on 1 blu-ray disc. And it will cost just as much as the xbox 360 version. the xbox 360 version will not include dead space extraction.

Im sure they will include all the mass effect 2 DLC on 1 blu-ray disc.

never have we PS3 owners gotten a voucher for DLC. It has always came on the blu-ray.  (i.e. resident evil 5 gold edition)

you can count on this. :)

That's kind of lame IMO.
I have DS Extraction for my Wii, but still. Sometimes I just hate how EA gives preference to the PS3.
Like the divine edition of Dante's Inferno and the free DLC for Brütal Legend.
No, no, I'm not starting any fanboy rant. Just sayin'
