Not being selfish. I completely understand your point. I'm being realistic. I've been stated before that if this goes well it's a wonderful opprotunity for Bioware. If not you have to calculate what the repercussions will be. Microsoft their longest running ally and producer might very well turn their back on Bioware, Sony's PS3 fanbase will not receive ME3 as they hoped, they'll get blown out by competition like GoW 3, or Heavy Rain, they don't have the first installment so that will also effect sales if fans think it'll impact their gameplay in Mass Effect 3 which it definitely will (There are tiny decisions in Mass Effect's first installment scattered all over the game) Can they incorporate every single thing into the flashback? If so, I'll be impressed. It's already been clarified that the PS3 has no chance of legally getting Mass Effect 1, and last but not least dude, take into account how many people are butthurt because of this announcement. It will seriously deminish their fanbase by half.

Heck, i get more enjoyment out of some games than others, console makes no difference. I own all three systems plus a great PC. I must admit that some games I play way more than others. ME2 has a lot of gametime, as does Heavy Rain, and so does Alan Wake. Games that do not are generally not good for single player aspects and are based primarily on their multiplayer aspects. I dislike this a lot. Games like Halo 3 and COD MW2, are alright but not my personal cup of tea.

All systems have their prizes (Wii is horrible if u do not like Mario, Metriod, or Zelda, no other good games are out for wii. 360 has good games but some major flops. PS3 has some great games out now, but some games dropped the ball) Comparing 1 console to another will never reach a conclusion as what games u personally like willl bias ur opinion. Let the PS3 get Me2, it will not affect ur own game whatsoever.

EDIT: To continue this, how many 360 or Pc owners here will actually not buy ME3 because of this decision to port it? Will Microsoft prevent ME3 from being available for 360? I doubt they would choose to not gain a game, regardless of other systems, ME3 = money for microsoft.

No it can't... Microsoft owns the publishing rights to ME1.  They said it themselves that it won't be going to the PS3.

I own both systems,and I support this. As I have said before, I am probably done with 360. Will keep it,but come January i'll be all over PS3... 120 pages later lol. Bioware loses no fans and gains a new PS3 fanbase. If you think this move is anything but a win/win for EA/Bioware you are greatly mistaken.

By altering the game enough (green blood,characters added,Characters removed...) they can label it as a seperate product.Nija Gaiden Sigam 2 even has it's own wikipedia page seperate from Ninja Gaiden 2.This is to make sure that they are not breaking their exclusivity contract with MS.

OK.  One thing that has bothered me the most in this topic is the use of the word Digress.
Digress means to turn aside from the main statement or comment.  When someone says something like the exclusives on GameCube are better than the Dreamcast's, you can disagree with that statement, and not digress with it.

Games like Mass Effect are exclusives because if I remember correctly
KOTOR was also for the PC yet it's been officially labelled an

It's been "officially labeled" as an exclusive for marketing purposes alone, i.e. to make Microsoft money. Intelligent consumers understand this.

I don't consider the PC a console either, but it doesn't change the fact that Mass Effect 2 is available for the PC, which is another platform that can play video games (Regardless of the fact that it is not a video game console), making it not an exclusive.

Stupidly lesser number of exclusives? I seriously
digress. That's what the 360 is known for over the PS3. Lemme tell you
why it won't have more exclusives than the 360 games for.

Easier tech to develop for, but certainly not better.

Regardless, your point is void because the PS3 has more quality exclusives for it than the 360 anyway.

I enjoyed ME2 more then ME1.Both MEs had great storys but ME1 had awfull gameplay(Overheating weapons,Huge Round Croshairs or whatever they are called and worst of all the Mako).I didn't hate the lift sequence.Plus the 360 versions framerate was all over the place.

I loved ME1... it is why I bought ME2. The gameplay is different... but it wasn't crap. Ask anyone who plays biotic classes if they thought the ME1 biotics were crap.

Yeah maybe but I was soldier.I went through the gameplay to get to Mass Effect One's great story and dialogue system.I like shooting stuff and ME2 satisfied my desire while still retaining the great story and dialogue system,

Didn't they use a different game engine from the original aswell as adding all that extra content though? Perhaps that's how they escaped the Microsoft published original.

Yeah it was also an updated version of Ninja Gaiden 2's engine.The lighting was vastly improved but polygon count was slightly lowered.

The only way Mass Effect 2 PS3 could fail is if EA ****s up the marketing and no one ends up knowing about it, and that won't happen because because Mass Effect is a massively popular franchise and EA can and will milk it for all it's worth.
