I don't hate there owners either, my cousins have one; I just hate the console itself. It doesn't have very good online capabilities, due to the fact its online service is completely free. It being free means the have no extra revenue coming in to help upgrade the online play unlike Microsoft and The Xbox 360.

The fact that it's free has nothing to do with the online capabilities.  Playstation made PSN a pass through service as opposed to end all destination like Live.  And the "it doesn't have good online capabilities" argument is getting as tired as the "it doesn't have any games" argument of two years ago.

Damn people, wake up and realize that both systems have their strengths and weaknesses.  Just because you may not be fortunate enough to own both does not mean that the one you own is king and the other one is absolute crap.

I have both consoles and played online with both of them... and I can tell you that the PSN is inferior to Live.  I've found lag to be more prominent on the PSN and exclusive games on the PS3 with online capabilities are always awful (even the so called "Halo Killers").  For those who are saying the disc switch wont be on the PS3... you are right.  Instead you will have to waite 5 minutes every time it installs a new mission on the system.

Do you have anything to back up that the Playstation Network is just full of lag? The only labeled "Halo Killer" was Killzone 1. Just because a game system has an exclusive FPS doesn't mean it is competing with the rival console's FPS.

And the only time you had to wait 5 minuets in between missions was in Metal Gear Solid 4.

You 360 fanboys need to get your facts strait, cause when the PS3 Only owners start coming in here, they will chew you out.

SOCOM: Confrontation was awful.  That was the laggiest game I've every played.  Resistance games were laggy as well.  MGS4 was a great single player game... but the online was nothing special (though less lag than the other games.... main problem was the gunplay).

Like I mentioned that isn't Sonys or the PSN's fault.  It's whoever Slant 6 and Insomniac hired to run their servers.

A bit of a dissapointment, but I really don't care anymore. PS3 needs more games that don't suck. I just wish you guys convinced FROM to give us 360 users Demon Souls.

What's the point if there's no ME1 for the PS3?

(If you don't believe me, check this list of games , as well as this one and this one, and compare the general praise for each console-only exclusive, and keep track of each one that has a notable level of praise.)

I've already dealt with this earlier in the thread.

In summary, if you think number of generally thought-to-be "good" exclusives for the 360 is higher than that of the PS3's, you're grossly ignorant regarding the facts of this console generation. The PS3 has a better library of exclusives than the 360. Deal with it.

Thank you very much, reading over the actual reviews elsewhere and the wiki synops will give me something else to do :).

Actually, I was reffering to the Video-Game Refference site on Gamefaqs, a personal board known as LUElinks, which has the several thousand arguing fans to complain about games, and my own forays into /v/.  Ontop of that, I occasionally go into the more open, high end games to talk to people about their personal experiences.  It's always weird when reviews and forums say one thing, and the actual players you run into will say the opposite.  It's especially funny with console wars and shop owners and employees.

If you want to spend the time, go ahead. I included links to the lists of exclusives in my original post (As an edit, which you may have missed) for convenience.

Since we can't argue over which console is better based on subjective taste, the only way to do so is look at the general reception of said games. I'm sure you'll find, looking through all of those exclusives (As I did, the other day), that the gaming industry has favored the PS3 this generation (And note: I didn't take in to account the mass amounts of console-exclusive shovelware, amounts that are higher on the 360 due to the fact that it is easier to develop for; I can't remember the guy in here whose main argument for the 360 being better was because it's easier to develop for, but this is a key example of how being easy to develop for isn't always a good thing).

There are other sites I can use too, I just wished you had other places of review.  Like I said, I don't really care that it made it to the PS3, I am just explaining some situations which do arise, and the general playerbase opinion we have elsewhere.  Like I keep saying, have said, and will keep saying since 4 months ago, I'd want to see Demon Souls move over.

The point is that it's impossible to judge a game by that criteria; while some actual players you may run in to may say the opposite, that's not really acceptable criteria to form a study (I know plenty of people who wouldn't question the greatness of a game such as Flower or Demon's Souls, and both of those are critically acclaimed).

The only way that we can do an objective comparison is to analyze the gaming community's general attitude toward the games; seeing as critical acclaim has a tendency to reflect upon the gaming community in general (Not exactly, and there are certainly cases where games are overrated and underrated), it's the best criteria we have.

GameRankings is a critical aggregate site. The site collects most, if not all notable reviews and averages them. Sure, there could be other places of review... if GR  didn't catalogue them, of course. And if they didn't, it's probably because the reviewer wasn't notable/professional, and thus the quality of the critique wasn't up-to-par.

With that said, there's also Metacritic, which is another great resource.

Xbox 360 has Raiden Fighters Aces ps3 doesn't

360 also has Deathsmiles

I'd take Banjo Kazooie over Ratchet and Clank any day even if R&C registers higher on Metacritic

dont forget that Microsoft owns the Xbox and Windows
