Yes I have

And what did they do in the Metal Gear games? They broke up the pacing

But the pacing was more or less well-implemented throughout. Did MGS necessarily need bosses? Not really.

They're there for added fun.

In the Metroid games? Fairly puzzle based

Most well-designed bosses are.

You do not fight the Thorian you wade through enemies until you eliminate the nodes,

You don't necessarily have to fight a boss head-on in order for it to qualify as a boss.

on Grunt's Loyalty mission you have to take out Jedore and her Mech in order to stop the Krogan from respawning. These aren't big boss battles like the Omega Pirate in Metroid Prime or a Metal Gear in MGS 1 or Portable Ops

True, they're definitely not on the same scale of the Omega Pirate, but that doesn't mean that Mass Effect can't have bosses of that scale. I'm sure BioWare is talented enough to implement bosses of that nature intelligently, or, in other words, implement boss of that nature that aren't simply health sponges that take no real skill to defeat.

That was my point, mainly in what I referenced in what Half-Life did

In Metal Gear bosses can be seen as a problem as there is a high emphasis on nonlethal measures while Boss Fights while often fun, kind of negated that emphasis except for MGS4, which oddly enough had the worse boss fights of the Solid games

I don't think ME3 NEEDS bosses.

Maybe it's not a necessity. However, just because something isn't a necessity doesn't mean it shouldn't be added; for example, extra party members. Zaeed, Kasumi and Shale were never "necessary," but I still enjoyed having them along for the ride. The more the merrier, eh?

Well, that's a good and valid point.
Zaeed, Kasumi and Shale are not necessary either, but yeah, I enjoyed their missions and having them in my party.
Speaking of Dragon Age...I know there's a thread about it, I really want to see how Bioware will improve the romance scenes.
Maybe a boss or two would be fine, I'm sure we'll get to fight against Harbinger.

I'm actually hoping the Illusive Man becomes ME3's Saren. The Reapers are fine as villains, but what ME2 sorely lacked was a human(oid) villain (As in, a villain that isn't a completely one-dimensional manifestation of all evil, as with the Reapers).

I think that the Illusive Man will want to stop you if you destroy the Collector's Base, but, what if you actually helped him at the end of ME2?

He'll probably betray you; after all, Shepard was nothing more than a tool to Cerberus.

I was actually disappointed that Udina didn't turn out as a villain. He has "Emperor Palpatine" written all over him. Maybe he'll team up with Cerberus and attempt to usurp the Citadel Council in ME3, though.

As long as he shoots lightning from his fingers, I'm happy.

It doesn't become an all human council it becomes a humand Lead council, Meaning aliens could still be on it
Also perhaps He wants total power rather than havving to debate with other members of the council
I think udina hates aliens and even with a all human council i doubt they would go for it if udina proposed they be second class citizens and humans get extreme power

I definatley think he will have an ataganoist role in ME3...I also think he's mirandas dad...Although he sees her if you bring her along to meet the council so it's doubtful

Udina is also eventually cannoned into the council from the books i think

I see him pulling a total palpatine when the reapers become aparent and planets are being overun by husk creatures he seizes power and it's up to shepard to stop or enforce him,

Exactly, he virtually dissolves the council and becomes Supreme Chancellor, a dictator controlling a phony republic. The Illusive Man would operate as his second-in-command/supreme commander.

I definatley think he will have an ataganoist role in ME3...I also think he's mirandas dad...Although he sees her if you bring her along to meet the council so it's doubtful

ME1, being published by Microsoft, has absolutely no chance of making its way to the PS3.

This is bad.

To not be "unfair", BioWare will have to lessen or totally remove any impact ME1 decisions will have on ME3.

So basically ME1 never happened now, because Bioware decided to put ME2 on PS3.

Or, they could just make it so that you have the option to determine all of the major decisions from the first game, either one-by-one, through a personality test, or by choosing a "Renegade" or "Paragon" background.

Which wouldnt be totally unfair to those on the 360/sarcasm.

If PS3 has something like that I want it as an option too, PC has the editor, im not going to have to play through ME1 again just for others to create an import in 10 minutes. If both get the feature im fine. Still pissed they get stuff for free though<_<
