Wow congrats bioware hope u lose some 360 fans because im one of them i really enjoyed ME1 and ME2 its a shame ME2 is going to PS3. Some people act like its no big deal but it is because like everyone else is saying u didn't even have ME1 for PS2 so im just gonna stick with halo at least they still have respect for the 360.
But why is it important to you that the PS3 owners not get to play this game?
You, like most here, are misunderstanding what these guys are saying.
The big reason most here have a problem with the port is because of how it will affect the Mass Effect series as a whole. If PS3 don't get me 1, it could possibly affect how the decisions in the first game play out in the last one. PS3 players never made the important decisions in the first one like the 360 and PC players did, bioware may just get lazy and turn Mass Effect 1 decisions into small cameos or complete non-existense.
That is what most here are worried about, not because we don't think PS3 players deserve to play it or not.

I am very much looking foward to this game. Please make it so the game runs and looks exactly like the xbox version. Also please make it so L1 is to aim your gun and R1 is to fire your gun.

Ridiculous sentiment, has anyone else got a whole lot dumber reading this thread? Listen, I understand that exclusives are important to many (thats why they exist after all) but to say that some people are overreacting to this news is to say the least of it I'm afraid. You enjoyed both games but will boycott the finale because PS3 owners have the privilege of playing along too? Talk about cutting your nose to spite your face! I had no idea the ME demographic was so young, I just can’t bring myself to accept that it's grown men and women that are throwing their toys out of the pram over this non-issue.
As a fan of Mass Effect and a PS3 owner I'm not all that excited by this news. ME1 is quite obviously of huge importance to the series and is by far the better game, so there’s little question PS3 users are missing out. Bioware are going to have to provide some exclusive content for me to even consider picking this one up, though I’m happy for those PS3 owners who have yet to play.
Carry on.
maybe they should make halo for PS3 now i mean halo is the real game keeping the 360 up dont deny that unless ur just a halo hater and FYI im 13 not a grown man

and why is a 13yr old playing a rated M videogame series?
i know kids play these games but they shouldn't unless they have the mental maturity to understand the differences between fantasy and reality. more so than these players, their parents are at fault for not making sure at what they're buying to their children thinking a game console is still just a child's toy

I honestly don't care that the PS3 fanboys can play ME2, A YEAR AFTER we played it. Why bother? Besides, they still don't have Mass Effect 1 and therefor can't import any save-games into their ME2 so yeah we Xbox/PC gamers still have the richest Mass Effect experience.
I surely hope Mass Effect going cross-platform doesn't mean anything bad for Mass Effect 3. I surely hope our Mass Effect 1 choices will still affect ME3 even though the PS3 players will never be able to import those ME1 choices.

If Mass Effect 2 is anything to go by, they hardly need the PS3 version as an excuse to handle ME1 choices lazily.

Are you implying something about the vast majority of PS3-only-owners, or did you just word that poorly?

I'm implying somethig about the PS3-only-owners who keep talking sh*t about Microsoft. Honestly, after the news that ME2 will come to the PS3 the internet got flooded with either angry Xbox360 fanboys as well as PS3 fanboys who where all like "hahaha Microsoft got owned again and they're so jealous that their holy grail now also comes to the PS3 and hahaha sucks to be you Xbox360-owners!" Trust me, I've seen plenty of that on boards everywhere. But you know what? I really don't care. First of all I don't care because I own all consoles myself (Xbox360, PS3 and Wii) and second of all I think this whole console-war and fanboyism is ridiculous.

a wake-up call for them to focus on their majority demographic instead of
marketing the Kinect so much.

...You don't have to be a PS3-only-owner to talk sh*t about Microsoft. Hell, you don't even have to be a gamer. You just have to know about why the Red Ring of Death happened, and possibly have some experience with Windows Vista. That should be enough to turn anybody off.

It's the Internet. The most obsessive, obnoxiously loud idiots from any demographic are all over the place. They're also the minority. That's just how it happens to fall no matter what the argument.
Don't even get me started on Sonic 4.

Okay, that's very very true. That's why I eventually switched to Apple Mac (and never regretted it).

Also very true. And Sonic has gone down-hill ever since Sonid Adventures (2). Sonic will never be the same. I really don't care about that blue hedgehog anymore though.

To be fair, even though there was Vista, Microsoft's operating systems are still infinitely more customizable, infinitely more user-friendly, infinitely more adaptable, and infinitely all-around better than Apple's (With that said, Linux is probably better than both). Apple is for people who don't understand computers.
As for talking **** about the 360, the RRoD, the large amounts of shovelware on the console (Now, of course, these numbers pale in comparison to the Wii's amounts of shovelware), the foolish decision to go with an HD-DVD format, the Kinect itself, and the lack of true exclusives are all legitimate complaints. I own an Xbox 360, too, so I'm not just talking out of my ass/spouting blind hatred.

That's silly. Apple computers are grossly over-priced machines with terrible operating systems and zero to no capacity for upgrades/expansion marketed to rich people who don't understand computers; who cares if the computer is twice the price and with half the capabilities of a Windows machine if it looks all shiny.

Not that I want to start a Mac v.s PC flamewar here, but I would suggest you rehearse that statement of yours. Apple Mac is the standart in the creative industry. Not nessesairy for game-development, but certainly for the movie, film, animation and design sector, where Apple really dominates Microsoft.
Each computer has it's own specialties. PC's are for gamers and tweakers, Macs are for designers and proffesionals.
As for me. I'm both, a gamer and a designer. I play games on my Xbox360 or PS3 (sometimes on my Mac too) and I use my Mac for art and design.
