That is not true. I'm an engieer, working in the automotive industry, but I haven's seen anybody using Mac.  Most of the CAD/CAE/CAM systems don't run on OS X.

I see fewer people are coming to this thread now.So I would like to say that ME2 for PS3 is a great idea.Bioware has a lot to gain from it so do Playstation owners.As for for Xbox and PC owners,are not loosing anything.Microsoft is the looser here and that is about it.So support Bioware/EA and don't whine over ten dollar DLC.

yes ME1 most likely won't be on ps3 but there's always the possibility of the ninja gaiden sigma loophole to happen to mass effect 1 (maybe using the engine and some features of ME2 with the plot of ME1?)

Personally, I know this will introduce new fans to the series, but I don't view this as a good idea. The sony fans are going to be missing out on the first chapter in the series. So, unless Bioware releases ME1 as a downloadable game on PSN (I don't know if Sony does that), then this isn't a good idea, in my opinion.

As a fan of Mass Effect and a PS3 owner I'm not all that excited by this news. ME1 is quite obviously of huge importance to the series and is by far the better game, so there’s little question PS3 users are missing out. Bioware are going to have to provide some exclusive content for me to even consider picking this one up, though I’m happy for those PS3 owners who have yet to play.

maybe they should make halo for PS3 now i mean halo is the real game keeping the 360 up dont deny that unless ur just a halo hater and FYI im 13 not a grown man

and why is a 13yr old playing a rated M videogame series?

i know kids play these games but they shouldn't unless they have the mental maturity to understand the differences between fantasy and reality. more so than these players, their parents are at fault for not making sure at what they're buying to their children thinking a game console is still just a child's toy

Ahh the normal i guess ur life yeah because i go outside everyday with ME2 armor and shoot invisible aliens

Really, what impact do those decisions have on you as the player if you haven't played the full game?

*PS3 player during the PS3-only prologue in the PS3 port of ME2*:

"Man that Wrex dude, I don't know him, but he looks dangerous! Better just kill him to be save! I don't know him anyway so who cares if he dies."

"Oh I have to choose who dies, that girl soldier or that male tech dude? Ehmmm dunno, I think the girl looks hot so I'll let the tech dude die, whoever that may be. I believe his name was Kaiden? Ah well..."

"Oh I have to choose to either save the council or let them die? That's fun! But who is the council anyway? Ahh well, they look important so better just save them!"

Agreed, there's now way an intro compares to an entire game.

So they are either porting ME 1 to the PS3, or  ignoring this decitions alltogether.

And personally i think it makes no sense that microsoft owns ME 1, if they actually did own that game, then characters like Garrus, Tali, Ashely, Wrex and even Shepard would be MS property too, so that means they couldn't be on ME 2.

It's like, if bungie suddenly starts developing on wii, and they make a game that it's not called "Halo 3" but has Master chief on it.

That makes no sense whatsoever, EA most likely owns ME 1 too and they are porting it to the PS3, probably planing to release  a "Mass effect collections" with both ME 1 and ME2.

Or are just planning to ignore ME 1 completely.

I hope Bioware doesn't give the PS3 version the crappy ass default decisions like they did with the 360 version. When we start a new game there should be choices that we can choose.

It's not a matter of wanting it so much as wanting it enough to deal with any necessary negotiation required.

For business purposes, they must have deemed getting Mass Effect 1 onto the PS3 too costly to be worth doing. They are being up front about the complete Mass Effect experience not being obtainable on the PS3 console, though, which means Mass Effect 3 probably won't be affected by that. You don't say something point-blank and then try to hide it two minutes later.

Microsoft wouldn't have a problem with it being ported to PC, they practically own that, too. The PS3, on the other hand, is a direct competitor on the console market. Unless they all-out forked over all rights to ME1 to EA before they went multi-console with ME2, which most likely didn't happen, it'd take some serious incentive to let EA publish the game on a competitor's console.

ME2 was made and published by EA in the first place, so EA has free reign over when and where it gets published.
