Probably a little early, but when are we likely to have official word on what the PS3 exclusive content will look like?
The only exclusive content the PS3 players are getting is an introduction content. They won't be getting DLC, or anything that we won't. They'll probably be getting the DLC that's out so far, like Kasumi, Zaeed, Overlord, LoTSB, etc... but they're not getting any exclusive DLC.

That's just speculation, we don't know if or if not the PS3 Version will have exclusive content beyond the intro yet.

And why would Bioware spend time to develop content for one console, and not give it to the other 2? PS3 is already getting the intro bonus, plus DLC that we already paid for. What more do you think Bioware is going to give them? I can tell you right now that Bioware will not spend time and resources developing content that only a smaller portion of their fans will be able to get. The only thing that they're getting that we aren't, is the introduction. That's it.

I doubt BioWare expects enough sales to make developing any exclusive add-ons worth the added expense. I know I don't.
Exactly. They won't do it. The whole point of bringing it to the PS3 was to expand the target audience. By giving them exclusive content, it will not only turn away current fans, but it will be a bad marketing strategy. The only reason they're getting the intro level is because Mass 1 isn't being ported.

EA have done it before and for the PS3. As to why: remember, this title is being made available to PS3 owners pretty late in the day and it looks likely that ME1 will not be making its way to the platform. Many people (myself included) will need more of an incentive to buy at launch than the introductory content with a little DLC thrown in.
...It's not for people who own the game on the 360 and PC already, it's for people who haven't played it yet and can't play it on either of the others. When they want to make more money off the rest of us, they'll release a new DLC or something.
You don't need some exclusive content as incentive to buy the PS3 version unless you've already played the game, in which case, why are you even considering the PS3 version at all?
EDIT: And again, I'm not expecting enough sales to make investing in an exclusive add-on much worth it. Most of the people who wanted to play the game have done so already on one of the other two platforms. Most sales are going to come from PS3 owner's who've been interested but haven't had the chance, and people who hadn't considered playing it until now.

Still, I wonder how many PS3 owners will be willing to purchase ME2 at full price considering the game has been out for a while (to say nothing of their missing out on ME1 altogether). I know one thing, exclusive content would certainly help. Makes sense to me, though I understand the objections of those who wouldn’t support the idea.
It might not even be full price.

Hi Chris,
Of course as expected and naturally im a great fan of both DA and ME and love your site. Just got into it the last couple of weeks and read the number of qualms, etc with the Lotsb DLC, ending with you rightly shutting its forum thread down, which unfortunately i've seen the somewhat over zealous statements continued on Facebook. Still though, taking into consideration fans occasional bloated sense of entitlement i can sympathise with the frustration over the minimal release of information on Lotsb, especially on a DLC many are very passionate about, specifically the story surrounding Liara.
I can imagine and agree with the variety of reasons release info has been kept quiet no doubt, but with so much frustration currently being exhibited by fans to the point of having to shut down the forum concerning the subject, due to rudeness, and the continued angst, though unfair, being thrown at Bioware on Facebook, would it be possible to make a definitive statement just as to the reason release info has been kept so minimal.
I genuinely admire Bioware (Hell, better than Square Enix now imo) and your job Chris (though dont envy it!), though please could you shed any light on this subject other than the request to remain patient (which i sympathise with a slightly rude member who stated that it has been over a month since lotsb was announced) or that nothing can be said as of yet. Understand please that the frustration of not knowing even why release details are kept is very frustrating, especially when your serving in Afghanistan and (sad as it sounds!) aiming to arrange RNR for its release, heh.
Regardless Chris, you and the rest at Bioware are amazing and apart from my beautiful girlfriend of course first and foremost, you guys and gals have given me something to look forward to when i get back with the amazing games your creating. Cheers!
Daniel

It's a good thing EA doesn't develop the game, they only publish it. The introduction + the DLC we already have for free will be more than enough to get the PS3 players started. Don't get your hopes up for exclusive DLC. At least not exclusive story DLC. Maybe a certain set of armor, or weapon set, but they won't put like an Overlord or LoTSB styled DLC exclusive for PS3 only.

But I am pretty pissed that ME1 apparently won't be on the PS3. My Xbox just died from the E74 error and if it doesn't get fixed, I'm going to get a PS3.
I don't want to play this game, my favourite of all time next to Dragon Age, without ME1. That's a stupid thing to do to PS3 players. They get a single pre-determined gameplay experience and do not get to feel the emotional connection with the characters and universe presented in the first game. It's as dumb as putting ONLY Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3 (if it were Xbox exclusive to begin with) or putting ONLY Halo 2 on the PS3.
This is partially good news to me, but it reeks of greed. Why would Bioware allow such a great game to stand alone on the PS3, knowing damn well that it's not the same without also providing the first game? For money, I suppose.

It's also pathetic watching fanboys trying to convince themselves they ain't annoyed now by saying 'oh the PS3 version won't be as good' or 'Well they got it a year later so it's not as good' Come on guys get a life, it's extremely sad.

That being said, PS3 owners should have to pay for all the DLC we have had to pay for. I don't think it's fair they get the whole experience out of the box when we had to buy it in bits and pieces. If they do release it with all DLC in one game, I should hope that Bioware will throw 360 users some kind of gesture of good faith. Whether it be cheaper DLC or more Cerberus Network freebies, I think Bioware would be well served to keep their XBox fanbase happy.

I dont see how it isnt iit basically sounds like a GOTY edition its the things you get for waiting instead of buying asap....theyll prolly release a GOTY edition sametime ps3 get their versionsRodney Chongo wrote...
I could really care less that the PS3 is getting ME2. I'm not to concerned about the whole 'choices carrying over' aspect. I figure the more the product sells, the better ME3 will be because Bioware and EA won't slash production costs to save a dime due to ME2 performing below what they expected in sales.

i can see where your coming from but do remember by the time ps3 get the game it will already be over a year old, if i walk into a game store now i see a fresh copy for about £10-£15, so imagine that by january 2011, they would get more money out of it by selling all of the dlc we already payed for (kasumi=£5, overlord=£5, maybe lair of shadow broker? and the weapons pack we payed for too etc.) it would all go up to full price again just by slapping "GOTY" on the front cover
