Riiiight, and if PS3 owners aren’t moved to buy in big numbers where will this "significant profit" come from?
Profit is the difference between how much you spent and how much you get back. They aren't spending much on ME2's port--certainly not as much as when they originally developed the game. Since they've already made back their development costs and more purely on sales for the other two platforms, it won't take nearly as many sales for them to start making pure profit on the PS3 version. That's why the PS3 version can be the weakest version in terms of sales and still turn a profit for BioWare. They likely aren't even counting on a whole lot of sales at any one time--only a steady stream of them over time.
I'm sorry to jump on your conversation but I think the game was already developed at the same time as the 360 version and the whole: "You don't need to have played the first ME in order to play the second" was already because of the PS3 version. It was what I felt once playing ME2, that the game at some point would make it to the PS3. I believe the only thing that kept it from releasing it before was some kind of MS contract. I just wanted to point it out since: If the game is already made long ago, and just waiting for a release day...
Remember when someone found some PS3 code in the ME2 files or something a few months ago?
Now... On another note, I can't wait to get the PS3 version too but since there isn't much info on it, the only thing I'm worried about is the disc swaping thing which for me and my kind of style of play was a bit annoying, do anyone here knows if that would happen with the PS3 version as well?
Style of play? You mean you are just lazy.
