Yeah maybe, see I don't know how they're going to do little situations like that in the PS3 game. I don't know exactly what a "brief introduction" will entail; but some people seem optimisitc. I wonder if it will be playable? Don't think so lolRodney Chongo wrote...
Maybe they'll just cut Verner out altogether in the PS3 Version.

to be really honest, it would totally suck if ps3 got all the dlc that everyone else had to pay for
Not really. I mean they need something, they don't get ME1. I really can't imagine playing ME2 without ME1's import. Like what about LOTSB, there are a ridiculous amount of ME1 references in that DLC, the PS3 players won't know wtf is going on, and will be robbed of the chance to romance liara.

As to the bonus content - it wouldn't suprise me if it will be a shortened version of Mass Effect 1. Basically with just the main choices involved and most of the padded content removed. So it wont be quite as cool as playing ME1 on 360 - as there are heaps of other side quests - but it would allow players to catch up with ME2, not require "exclusive" new DLC content and everyone gets to be happy. Considering the capacity of Bluray, there should definitely be room to do that and even include most of the ME2 DLC.
As for getting the ME2 DLC for free - I don't see the problem. What 360 fans paid for is getting the DLC when it first released. PS3 fans are getting it, what, a year later? Using that line of reasoning those who waited and bought Fallout 3 GotY edition should have paid extra for all the DLC they got free with that too.
I expect that it will include Kasumi, Zaeed, Overlord, Firestorm. Maybe Lair of the Shadowbroker...
As for delaying ME3, I don't believe that is going to be the case. The usual process for this kind of thing is to have a separate PS3 development team. The benefit is that while the ME3 team is working on their project, the PS3 development team would be getting skilled at optimising ME for PS3.
Not that this is actually the case - but from what I know of development studios, it seems the likely situation. Which, in turn, benefits everyone.
Ultimately - Mass Effect going to PS3 is a good thing for everyone as it leads to more money in the pot for DLC development, keeps bioware in business and ensures that there will be plenty of cash for future games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. For all platforms.

This sounds like it should satisfy the fanboys who are losing their baby<_<majdirkadirka wrote...
who freakin cares about them getting it for ps3. they had a very long wait for this game and they should be rewarded with more content for their patience. also you have to fill more space in that 25-50 gigabyte blu ray disc of theirs lol. but i think there should be two editions, limited collectors with all dlc and regular with just cerberus network.

1: 360 will NO DOUBT get an exact same product in a GOTY edition at the same time the PS3 version hits retail.
2: Said 360 GOTY Edition may STILL cost less than the PS3 version.
So basically, even with free DLC PS3 fans might still get the financial shaft.

Getting free DLC that everybody else had to pay for won't help that situation. You have to have a pre-developed relationship if you want ot romance Liara in LOTSB; so getting free DLC won't make a difference. I don't really know what you were trying to say there lolGibb_Shepard wrote...

Probably similar to the ones the 360 has (and to some extent like it is for DAO on PS3) I would imagine. I was having a look at this the other day trying to work it out. Way I see it, the controllers 'button wise' aren't that much different other than the ones on the right being X, Y, A and B for 360 and Square, Triangle, X and Circle for PS3.Gethforceone wrote...
My only worry about the PS3 version is what shoulder pads they are going to map the aim and fire actions to.
So it'll probably be something like
Triangle - Mapped power (just like it is for DAO)
Circle - Melee/Exit (latter for when your controlling the Normandy)
Square - Skip chat (just as used in DAO too)/Reload/Hold to change to last gun/Start-Close Scanner
X - Use/Hold for Sprint/Cover/Vault (latter with Left stick pushed forward)
R1 - Use Mapped power/Hold for power wheel
R2 - Fire/Launch Probe
L1 - Use Mapped power/Hold for power wheel
L2 - Aim/Zoom/Scan Planet
Directional Buttons - Command squad
Start - Pause Menu
Select - Holster Weapon.
I've got PC version myself but seen that on 360 version you can change the stick and button configuration between each other so I imagine same will apply for PS3 version.
Am looking forward to seeing what its like on the PS3

Not having to switch discs will be nice with blu-ray, however not importing a character you went through on ME1 will be a major downside. Some free dlc should help ease the pain although I'd personally prefer to play ME1 and pay for the dlc for ME2. 360's, PS3's, gaming desktops, gaming laptops, etc.. aren't unreasonably priced anymore.. a real fan of gaming and not just a "fanboy/fangirl" of a particular system benefits the most from releases in general. We get to pick and choose how and on what we want to play a particular game/series and to me fanboy-ism is lame. Just as I think 360 and PC only owners should get a PS3 for games like uncharted 1 & 2...I think the same about Mass Effect 1 and possibly 2 if you really want to important your character (unless they make a way to do so from playing the PC version although the controls won't be familiar it's still much better than not having that option). What we need is a unified gaming system... where you can play games on one system and use it as a computer if you prefer that setup,etc.. and maybe give microsoft & ps3 their own extras to add to those systems so that gamers can experience whatever they want without having to argue over what their favorite is and try to pass it off as the automatic best because it is their preference when we all know that's an invalid standpoint if trying to be passed off as anything other than just an opinion/preference. Maybe if Microsoft buys Sony this can happen.. because there's no way Sony is going to be able to buy Microsoft.
They're already integrating laptops, desktops, etc... to be able to use windows o/s, mac o/s, etc... why stop there? =)

Will it work with the Move controller?
ehhh that might be full of fail unless they have some amazing way of pulling it off, kind of like how the Wii pulled off the best version of Resident Evil 4 but the controller works great for the game.. so does keyboard & mouse however the controller really is very fluid once you get used to it. Hopefully, sony designs bigger controllers for people who are over a medium height and have larger than medium hands because reloading while in the middle of a firefight on crushing for uncharted 1 & 2 is pretty annoying.. have to hold the controller in a way that is not too comfortable in order for it to control as it should and create a more responsive control system shouldn't be necessary. Heck even hitting the wrong buttons on the PC as if you made a typo is annoying, but the whole reload/shoot buttons in Uncharted 1 & 2 tops the charts for annoying imo yet they are two of some of my favorite PS3 games. I don't run into those issues in such a manner on the 360. Oh well, great games all around the board already for all platforms and more on the way along with some more quality dlc/expansions.

I doubt it will, though it would be cool if they managed to incorporate it (but only if incorporated good)
