to be really honest, it would totally suck if ps3 got all the dlc that everyone else had to pay for
Not when it's a year later, the game can now be had for $30, but you're asking PS3 players to shell out $60.
I have it on 360, I have all the DLC, and I may well buy the PS3 version just to see what's different (and to support a product I truly enjoy.) and I'm not bothered one bit by the idea of PS3ers getting what I already paid for, as I've been playing it all for months already.
You don't pay for DLC as much as you pay to play it now
Sooner or later all that content is going to end up boxed together in a cheaper form than what you originally paid.
That's how it works.

Now we all have wait longer for the next game to come out.
Hopefully we'll get some good dlc for Ashley to cheer me up soon

I find really annoying news. Why not do it on both consoles from the start. Or wait and bring out the ps3 version when trilogy is finished.

Actually, Bioware said it will not affect the release schedule of ME3.

I don't think there will any marwelous sale figures regarding this release...those who wanted to play it already does...
How about those who couldn't play it.People who don't have a 360 or gaming PC never got the chance. Many Dragon Age PS3 players want to see another great Bioware game come to their platform. As for sales no one knows what could happen, only time will tell.

on a side note: Now the words from Mr. Hudson about ME2/3 being standalone make their sense. They must have had ps3 version in mind while developing it...

come on, this game is not THAT demanding 5 years old PC could run it on almost the highest setup with no problem...

True Mass Effect is no Crysis but saying a five year old computer is a bit too much.I think it's more along the lines of a three year old computer.Still these days netbooks and lap-tops are way more common then the traditional desk-top computer.Plus the majority of console gamers don't even have a half decent gaming PC.I started gaming on the PC(so it has a special place in my heart) but I completely stopped using PC this gaming generation. All I'm trying to say is that out of the 38 million PS3 gamers i think only 4% have half decent PC's.Most just have multi-purpose general use laptops, netbooks and Regular PCs.Plus yes I have to agree with the ME2 standalone thing. Why the heck do 90% ME1 references have to be dumb emails and why does Kaiden hate me.Still having Garrus in ME2 makes up for all that.

I'm hoping that there's something explaining who Ashley and Kaidan are in PS3 ME2. I mean, there will potentially be a lot of newcomers, and there's been a couple people on these forums who hate Ashley and Kaidan because they don't know who they are. And they're wondering, "Why is this idiot yelling at me?" So, hopefully there's some extra add-ons featuring Ash and Kaid that will hopefully be ported to Xbox and PC gamers.Crimson-Cobalt wrote...

The thing is that I have played Mass Effect 1.The thing that pisses me is that I can't make Kaiden not hate me.I mean I let Ashley die and instead saved him but he still thinks I am a Cerberus loving piece @*%&.Hope I can convince him to join me in ME3.

LOL... I know who they are and still hate them both, never liked them in the first game, and the second only gave me even more reason to dislike them(either Kaidan or Ashley, whoever you let it survive in ME1).

I wish BioWare would make ME3 like GTA4, whoever Shepard dislike just let him(the player) be able to pull the handcannon and blow someones brains out LOL, so next time you see Kaidan/Ashley in ME3... you can just blow those suckers brains out before they start yelling at you LOL.... That would be cool.
Note: To follow the Renegade path in ME2 kind of sucks, your Shepard seems more of a wimp then a bad dude, everytime you use a renegade option in a conversation it seems that Shepard is the one that always back down most of the time. I think after beating the Reapers twice...Shepard should have enough credit to impose a little respect in the Galaxy on ME3.

Hopefully it won't end up being "shovelware" like fallout 3 was. I'm not comparing ME2 to Fallout 3 but almost every game ported over from 360 to PS3 has been full of glitches and hasn't held up nearly as well as its 360 counterpart. I've got both the 360 and PS3 and I think that its good to let PS3 owners get a taste of the series. My only gripe is that most owners who probably don't have a 360 will be left in the dark considering that bioware has said that they don't plan on putting ME1 on PS3.
They plan to fill us in with an intro for the PS3 version. I played ME on the PC and will be getting ME2 on the PS3. It was an okay experience, but I don't think PS3 owners will be losing out all that much like what everybody's worried about.

I have played & finished ME1 on pc. Then my PC ...well, got burned down
I couldn't afford to buy myself a new one, so I repaired it..to, lets say, 75% functionality.
In the meantime, I got myself a ps3. Very happy with that decision since, although I had to buy a second one, because the first one..well, fried
Years have passed. I was occupied at work, and at home. News of upcoming games eluded me.
One day in February I went to the store to buy myself Maiden's cd, and seeing the stands with ME2, decided to buy it for PC.
At home, I was quite happy. Installation finished smoothly, patches(I think) downloaded and applied without any problems. Only problem was with cerberus network...I think my pc crashed then & I lost my codes. Anyway.
I started the game, played through prologue, at highest possoble settings. Everything worked fine.
I decided to play through ME1 again, knownig it WILL be fun, to make my choices again & import that save to the next episode.
( Here comes the trauma
Installation...horrible. I had to manually unpack all the rar (or zip, whatever) files to folder on my hdd.Proper installation began after an hour or so. It failed, twice actually. Had to manullay search the archive to select a few files to unpack. At last, the game was installed, settings fixed in menu (the one with registry, iirc).
I started the game. Made my Shepard the way I like it. War Hero & Sole Survivor and all the rest.
The opening movie plays , with Shepard walking toward bridge to have a chit chat with Joker. During the talk, the game crashes. Autosave is enabled, but starts working AFTER that talk/cutscene. I'm redoing all shepard choices and start again. Crash before the talk ends, but little later than the first.
I spent about 17 hours trying everything. Countless reinstalls, patching software, video drivers, sound drivers, even goddammned monitor drives. Even tried downloadin fresh new torrent version ME1. It all failed.
To this day, I have not played further in ME2. I didnt want, I want my choices from the first.
If this ps3 version includes a short game/interview/WHATEVER so I can, like, redo my choices from back when I played, I'm bought.
Hehehe, yea, lots of text
PS. Excuse my english, it has became rusty.

Not when it's a year later
The PC version of Mass effect 1 came out several months later and we didn't get nearly as much DLC as the PS3 version is getting.
Bring down the sky it's only thing we got.
And wasn't even on the CD.
And was released a few months after the release of the game.
And is nowhere near the quality of Overlord or Shadowbroker.
Bioware is not being fair with his fans.

Maybe we PS3 gamers will be able to recruit any squad-mate from the beginning like it was previously planned. Maybe we get to start the game as Legion as was originally meant. MUHAHAHAHAHA!
But seriously, thank you Bioware for giving the PS3 some love
