You can tell Mass Effect 2 doesn't have many exciting new features when even after 2 months Bioware hasn't told us a damn thing...

I wish they'd at least hurry up and announce the damn Collector's Edition already.

Too be honest i am very worried what the playstation 3 will do to Mass Effect 3 because it will cause in my opinion one very important decision (the rachni) in the game because of it being from ME1 which forces the creators to make the decision less important because of playstation not having the choice available to them.

It will also make the ME1 characters probably even less important if they weren't in your team in ME2 (e.g. Wrex, Liara, Ashley/Kaiden) because of having no connection between them for the player.

I just hope bioware do not reduce the importance of the ME1 characters because of Playstation if they do it might sour the fans of the characters towards Sony (its true though especially how badly some people take it if you do not like to do it with the bucket head (tali) lol)

I doubt they can ignore it completely - remember therer will be 3 platforms running ME3 - 2 have ME1 carry over - they have to cater to the majority I would think -

While I am not thrilled that Mass Effect 2 is being ported to PS3; do you think they will utilize any of PS3 benefits other than graphics, such as Playstation Move capabilities and 3D?

Some already released games for the PS3 are getting Move updates, such as Heavy Rain and Resident Evil 5, so I believe that Mass Effect 2 may eventually have Move capabilities too.

(For those who have not tried Move, it is amazingly percise and awesome!)

I doubt it and even if they do I can't see Move bein in any way remotely playable. How do you play a shooter game with a stick? I mean seriously. Not tomention that then you have biotic and engineer powers that need to be worked in the controlls and you end up with a next to unplayable mess. If anything kinect would be more suitable because you have the whole body and voice commands to work with but even that would be a huge pain and I can just about guarantee it won't happen for either Move or Kinect.

Move is nothing more than a marketting gimmick that ultimately doesn't really work for most games or at least not nearly as operable and comfortanble or fast as the controller anyway.

First of all, you wouldn't want 3D? Second, I'm guessing you have not tried the move. Originally, I felt that the move was a gimmick to compete with the Wii. However, once I tried it with Resident Evil and Heavy Rain, it completely changed my mind. Also, there are excellent titles coming out with Move support, such as Socom.

ME was supposed to be one of those games making me  proud to be 360 owner to combat uncharted 2 and metal gear, now Bioware does this?

That's not how pride should work anyway.

So i'll be waiting for Uncharted 2 then. We already have a Metal Gear coming.

Nope, don't care for 3D at all. It's like going back to the 70s when some places colored glass in front of the TV to make it colored because the image on the screen itself was black and white rofl. Now it's just an overly expensive gimmick to get money. Same as the Move, it IS just a gimmick that ultimately doesn't work for most everything and it already go slamed for being as such. About as functional as the wiimote.....which is to say as long as you have to do rough movements you'll be fine but anything that needs to be precise is going to be a mess even if slightly more precise than the wiimote.....especially if buttons are involved because pressing buttons on the stick you're bussy holding and swinging at the same time all with one hand just doesn't work......trust me I tried it. Then placing all those tasks on both hands separately isn't going to make it better. Ultimately it's just that.....an upgraded wiimote with 95% of all the same problems and limitations.

If you played any PS3 games designed for the move, you would understand how percise it is.

That's highly unlikely.

99.99 percent unlikely - bioware is not going to re adapt a game that already will have been out for a year by the time it comes out on playstation - becasue of move...partuclalry when they will be within a year of mass effect 3 coming out more than likely

I don't really see why they should even consider adding Move-support. I mean it doesn't really fit into a gameplay of third person shooter with RPG elements.

If the PS3 version would have Move support, a lot of people will probably feel themselves incredibly screwed over.

"You" since you're implying it that way, do not have Metal Gear coming. You have some gimped down, spin off, featuring one of the worst characters in the series - him being Raiden. Besides, what's wrong with multiplat games? more people get to play them.

If the PS3 version has content the Xbox 360 and PC versions don't have I'd be pretty angry. But hey, atleast the first Mass Effect won't be ported to PS3. For now.

Nah they only get the "rofl you totally missed out on all the fun" special intro wich is meant ti bring them up to speed with what happened in ME1 and ME1 will never be ported to the PS3. It sells for 20 USD so a port would be a waste of time and money as they wouldn't get a penny out it plus MS has complete rights to ME1.

This is basiclly what happened.

The Normandy is currently being attacked by the collector ship. Ashley/Liara runs towards Shepard as the rest of the ship is bursting into flames.

Ash/Liara: Shepard!

Shepard: the distress beacon is ready for launch.

Ash/Liara: Will the Alliance get here in time?

Shepard: The Alliance won't abandon us. (He picks up a fire extinguisher and tosses it to Ash/Liara. They both start trying to put out the fire.)

Ash/Liara: Joker won't abandon the ship. I'M NOT LEAVING EITHER.

(shepard drops the extinguisher and grabs Ash/liara's hand)

Shepard: I need you to get everyone to the evac shuttles. I'll take care of Joker.

Ash/Liara: Commander....

Shepard: Dont worry Ash/Liara. I just saved 15% on the Normandy's insurance by switching over to Geico.

Ash/Liara: .....

(the camera angle is to shepard's right and ash/liara's left. The both turn the heads slowly and look at the camera. On the lunch table is the stack of cash with big eyes staring at both of them. *Geico song starts playing*)

Geico. 15 min. Could save you 15% or more on car insurance.

Its clear ME2 on PS3 was forced by EA and why not they want the money. But i think they should have waited for the current trilogy to be finished and then make the series multiformat.

A few of my mates were happy when i said it was coming to PS3 but after i told them ME1 was still 360 only the news was ruined.

Bioware ain't stupid, they probably add some story element at the beginning of the game in ME2 on ps3 so you can make the choice you miss in ME1 on 360

are they planning to release mass effect 1 on PS3 aswell, because then that'd make more sense...unless you can pre-select your mass effect 1 options during ME2.

They are making a special intro to ME2 for the PS3 to give you some of the choices that the 360 and PC gamers made in ME1 but ME1 itself will remain exclussive to the 360 and PC forever.
