When I heard about this, I was really angry but got over it in time, at least ME2 will be the game of the decade now.

The only thing that isn't fair is the free content they get and PC/360 user have to pay, which to be is a bit selfish and unfair. It would be nice if you released a ME2 disc that has all content or ME2 with game and all content.

Its called a 'Game of the Year Edition' and it will eventually come to Xbox 360 and PC as well. BioWare/EA are not stupid enough to make a GOTY edition exclusive to the PS3. The PS3 just happens to be getting it a bit early.

And you had to pay for the DLC because you wanted it early. Thats business. They're not getting it 'for free'.

I am glad PS3 is getting ME2. With the big disappointment that is GT5 (only 200 proper cars... really?), I am looking forward to some quality gaming for the winter months.

Oblivion when it was released for PS3 had the Knights of the Nine add on included on disk.
What Bioware is doing for the PS3 version is nothing new. There will be an ultimate edition (or GOTY edition) for PC and Xbox fans at some point in the future (maybe also for PS3 if they release more paid DLC such as the shadowbroker DLC after release)

Personally I can't wait to play this. I always wanted to play the ME series, while I would rather have the first game the comic is actually quite a fair substitute for those that weren't able to play the first (like myself) and be able to create choices.

I dont gie  **** about free dlc, them being able to create characters to import however is BS, I have to go through ME1 again to make any changes and they can do it in about an hour, thats BS, unless they release it for xbox and PC aswell, which I highly doubt.

If they were absolutely postively sure about that, I doubt they would have used the phrase 'initially exclusive' ie. When it first is released. Besides which, technically for PC you don't have to go through ME1, besides the obvious 'gibbed' file editor, there is also the gamesave files that can be DLed from the internet. IIRC there is a way to mod the 360 one too.

Also we still don't know yet just how interactive the comic is going to be, personally I'll be stunned if it has any of the 'sidequest' stuff and even some of the more 'main mission' stuff could potentially be blanked out. We just don't know yet, so to complain about the comic seems a bit premature at the moment considering for all we know it could just be a comic where we flip the pages and see the choices default shep made in ME. That is the way am looking at it, that way any further 'interactivitiy' is a bonus

I noticed on the GAME (UK company) site they've gone from saying just 'January' to 21st January now and Gamestop has it listed as 11th January (hmm, same day as closing date for DA2 signature edition). So about 6 weeks away for US and just over 7 for UK (if them dates are right, possibly aren't). Got my copy pre-ordered

The wording in the PS3 content clarification thread states that the interactive comic book to generate ME1 saves will be exclusive to the PS3 version for its 'initial release', which makes it blatantly obvious they'll release it on other platforms later on. Likely in a GOTY build, or as DLC or something.

To Systemlord Baal; they are doing a interactive comic thing to fill in the gaps for those that haven't played ME1. Your going to be able to choose the outcomes of the major choices in the game, so I doubt the old squad is going to be gone. You can use it to make sure that Wrex survives for example.

the whole exclusivity trend got old a long time ago. it only existed to give fanboys a drawn out pissing contest. i don't see why anyone should feel bitter about it, we all play video games...deal with it.



besides, i've become agitated with microsoft. i've had 5 xbox's fail in the course of 3 years. that's right FIVE. and each time i've gotten them back, they fail within 3 months. if i could afford it, i'd get a new console...again. i'll hold off until ME3 comes out. /end rant



i think it would be cool to play ME2 in a different way. can't wait to see it.

Yup was in GAME today (UK Game shop) and they had posters up advertising that it was out on 21st. I had seen the date on their site the other week but interestingly Gamestop had it down as 11th in US

But 18th would make more sense because Europe was only a few days behind in the PC/360 release, so imagine same for PS3.

6 Weeks till I can play ME2 on PS3
