Have they said whether the interactive comic will allow you to make romance choices?
It's not officially confirmed at this moment.

Glad there are ration thinkers at Bioware that ignore such uneducated notions. More gamers getting to play the better. Choose your console of choice and play your games. Leave the fake wars that exist in your dementia out of the forums.

Well said. Anyway, I can't wait for it to come out. Finished the game both on PC and Xbox 360 multiple times and gonna do the same on PS3.

As the proud owner of ME1 and 2 on 360, I shall support the PS3 version by getting it.....!!!
This is completely pathetic, but I also plan on getting it for the
PS3 too! I already own ME 1 and ME 2 for the Xbox 360 and PC. Also, I
bought two Mass Effect Collector's editions for the Xbox 360! Six games
in total! Yet, I still feel compelled to buy the PS3 version, even
though I like the Xbox 360's remote far better.
Please, Bioware. STOP MAKING EXCELLENT GAMES! You are decimating my budget!

that said I personally feel it's too bad. One can argue that my Xbox 360 lost value since I bought my xbox because of Mass Effect and Gears of War. In a broader perspective the decision to go multiplatform may very well be hurting in other ways as well. The time used to port Mass Effect 2 could have gone to making Mass Effect 3 even better - everyone knows focusing on one platform will result in better and more optimized gameplay. Finally we now have a superior PS3 version, so if I as a bioware fan wants the best of the best I'll have to buy Mass Effect 2 two times and a PS3.
the best solution (when Mass Effect can't remain exclussive because of EA) would be to finish of Mass Effect 2 & 3 on Xbox 360 and THEN port them to PS3 to ensure every platform gets a perfect polished and optimized version.
Otherwise thanks for a great story and the best games I have ever played!

I bought mine only for Mass Effect, and I don't care. I'm not saying you're wrong, just, y'know, people in the same boat who feel differently about it do exist. I've since bought exactly one 360-exclusive game that I really feel I needed - Splinter Cell Conviction. Everything else I got on the 360 (and I can count those games on one hand) was multiplatform and I only got it because I wanted to play online with my local friends, who mostly have 360s. But I didn't want to wait a whole year, and while the interactive comic sounds like a good idea, there's no way it can be an adequate substitute for actually playing Mass Effect 1.

Or the increased profit from the PS3 sales means more budget for ME3. You're speculating about the internal workings of a company you basically know nothing about.

I honestly don't think so. Most games, such as Call of Duty Black Ops and GTA 4, look exactly the same on both systems when using an HDMI wire and a 1080p compatible display.
The PS3 one is beneficial however, because all of the content is located on a single disk. BUT YOU LOSE THE EXPERIENCE OF ME 1; instead you have a short comic to make your choices in. Some of the less important choices are going to be left out.

Of course Mass Effect 2 looks better on the PS3, it is built on the Mass Effect 3 engine. Just read up on the Mass Effect 2 PS3 reviews and compare the screenshots with those of the 360.

I agree. One of the things that concerned me is whether smaller side missions plots will surface. For example, with their be a nuance between Nassana Dantius if you did the mission in ME1 where you kill her sister? Does Shepard involve himself with Corperal Toombs's dilemma regarding Cerberus? Doing the other missions regarding Cerberus? The Rachni and Thorian Creeper side missions? Even the Geth Incursions? What about Garrus and Doctor Saleon or Wrex's Family armor? The list goes on. Unless Bioware does a cross-platform file save import, I think the PS3 is going to be weakened in this area. The comicbook is not going to be able to cover all of these critical side missions. In fact, I don't think it will provide paragon and renegade bonus at the beginning, a higher level to start at, and more credits to be buy every upgrade.

no thanks Bioware.
There's loss of frames even when the camera turns around Shep in the Normandy, rotfl.
> textures definition = good framerate? (or better, SAME IDENTICAL framerate like on 360?)
Yes, thanks Bioware, now put the hands on this and make it happen!!!

Apparently the PS3 version Uses the mass effect 3 Engine!
Yeah, it does and in my opinion that is a kick in the teeth for the 360 owners who supported bioware since mass effect was first released. Don't get me wrong, I think a port to the ps3 is a great idea because mass effect is a great game and everyone should experience the story. But you're telling me that because I supported the franchise since day 1, I get the crappy version of the game while the ps3 port uses the new engine (and has all the dlc for free?).
Okay bioware, since you've decided to include the dlc free in the ps3 version, then I challenge you to make the dlc free on the xbox version as well... IT WOULD ONLY MAKE SENSE!
