No, but you're all over-reacting... PS3 isn't even getting the first game, yet all everyone here is doing is ****ing about how Bioware betrayed you. Get over it, it's a business, and Bioware is trying to get as many sales out of the game as possible. The 360/PC got to have ME2 as an exclusive for almost a whole year, so the PS3 crowd is entitled to some freebies.

I already own the game for both Xbox 360 & PC, and I've purchased all the DLC, yet I couldn't be more pleased with this announcement. Now when I buy the PS3 Version, I don't have to pay for everything a 2nd time, and PS3 Exclusive Owners get to experience an excellent game.

Seriously, Console Fanboyism is so 90's... Hasn't anyone aged beyond 8 here?

PS3 crowd aren't entitled to jack.  It's the 360 that made ME2 possible.  Had Mass Effect flopped on 360 do you think there would even be a ME2?  Hell no, it would have gone the way of Too Human.

And as a PS3 owner, I would be happy for your chance to play Uncharted.  I have friends who only have 360's and they will at times spend hours playing games on my PS3 that the XBox does not have.  I'm not real big on console exclusives, but I understand why the developers do it.

But you got it first, and about seven months before PlayStation 3 users get it, it's like buying a game new and then someone else buying it used for a lower price.

That's true, but PS3 owners had plenty of exclusives to fill the void. Do I get Uncharted or anything else? No.

Bioware doesn't need to give them additional content because they got it late. PS3 owners should just be satisfied with getting the main game. If I only got Uncharted without bonus content, I would be incredibly happy.

No, I am not. Why, you ask? Well, because the GoTY version is meant to act as a secondary version for those who didn't purchase the inital game or just are buying it again to pick up all the DCL at once.

The PS3 release is the first release on that console. It doesn't need a GoTY release as it's first release. It's insulting.

What happened to the 1000 varying choices, surely a lot will be left null and void, what about the Rachni Queen and Wrex, will they be reduced to cameo's again due to Sony players not having them. I have no problem with Sony getting ME, I'm concerned about the fact that choices from ME1 will most likely mean nothing.

As a 360 owner, I welcome my Ps3 friends to the franchise. It's ashame they won't get the original due to MS publishing it, as playing ME2 without a ME1 save feels kind of hollow.



With that said, I can see some of the anger that my fellow 360 players have towards the "bonus content" line. Well it would make me roll my eyes that they'd get DLC for free, like someone said it would probably come out in a GOTY version anyway. As long as ME3 remains multiplatform, I'll be one happy Shiala fan.

What happens if Tali doesn't come back in ME3? I'm sure you will yell and scream at Bioware for this. But at this point, you will be acting entitled, by your definition. I hate when people with such a limited capacity for thought just slap the "entitled" tag on anyone with feels cheated out of something.

 Good lord, some of these comments really make me despair. Bioware is a company. What do companies do? They make money. They've gone and expanded their audience, gaining more profits from a wider fanbase, and undoubtedly these profits will be put to improving their facilities and the quality of the games they make.

I really, really doubt they're going to compromise ME3 with this decision. Bioware has produced a stellar series so far, and it's shameful to think that some of their *loyal* fans are turning against them because they've decided to broaden their horizons. Hardly anything about the bonus content has been revealed yet, and to think that some people are already jumping down their throats is disheartening.

I own both a PS3 and a 360, and will continue playing ME on the latter, as well as buying DLC content for it. I'm just happy that hopefully more of my friends who only own a PS3 will have the opportunity to play such a great game.

Sorry, but you people post faster than I can read 'm, so I didn't read all of it . But I'm just gonna reiterate most of the stuff that's already been said, with (hopefully) a few new things added:

As a PC gamer, I generally don't care, unless it gets exclusive content. so I hope the extra content is:
- Packed in previously released dlc (with a price reduction for the X-Box/PC gamers who haven't bought it yet preferrably)
- "Flashback missions" that'll let you play a few of the big ME1 moments on the ME2 engine, letting you make all of the big decisions of ME1
- Timed exclusive mission content. It'll ****** me off initially, but I'll get over it.

I don't care about potential PS3 exclusive armour and weapons or costumes. If it is exclusive mission content.. Well lets say I might reconsider buying ME3. And if I still do get it, just to see the ending to a great story, it'll leave a very sour aftertaste in my mouth at the very least.

If I were a PS3 owner:
- I'd really hope you're bringing ME1 over as well (and before or at the same time of releasing ME2)
- If not, I'd hope to get "flashback missions"
- If not, then at least find a way to allow PS3 owners import PC savefiles

It's simple, I personally, if I didn't own ME1 and ME2 on PC already, if I was presented with the choice of the PS3 or X-Box version, I'd not even consider a PS3 version if ME1 wasn't available.

Also, personally, I'm not very concerned about this port resulting in lesser significance of decisions made in previous games in ME3.

I have both.  I only own Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 for the PS3.  Exclusives still mean something.

That's different, if EA up and bought naughty dog, you would not get the first two, but you would most likely get any others they made. And there is a chance that you would get some bonus, to help the game sell better.

"lol" thats my way of making my statement light hearted, because people seem to be taking everything way to seriously.

Personally I am fine if the PS3 release has all the DLC, actually I would love it. I already own the 360 version and I bought all the DLC for it. I dont really want to buy it a second time, but that is personal choice, as was to get the DLC in the first place.

I dont really see how it is insulting, rather then more incentive to actually buy the game. It really doesnt make any difference to me what so ever. If the games were released at the same time that is one thing, but its been awhile since its release and doesnt really hurt anyone. Like I said, if you bought the DLC that was your choice.

It would be like if they ported a game to the 360 and gave the 360 free DLC. Who really cares its just more incentive for the users to either by the game for the first time, or in my case again for a different system.

 I have a PS3, and if it includes all the dlc on the disc including Lair of the Shadow Broker, I might be temped to buy another copy or even the Collector's edition if the price is right...

The thing is though, what sucks most of all is that PS3 users will NEVER get to meet Wrex, or  save the Citadel Council which can only lead to their complete marginalization in OUR games.

Actually.... Wrex won't appear at all. His doofus brother will appear in his place, since the default start for ME2 is having Wrex dead. Because, you know, everybody  killed that guy anyway. He was sooooo unpopular.
