Wait for it apparently and take this with a pinch of salt the Next codex will either be Dark Eldar or Necron depending on what is finished first and which will sell the most over christmas and as Necron players tend to outnumber Dark Eldar players 10-1 you do the math.CuthbertTheAllgood wrote...
Holy... Does this mean the Necron Codex is coming too?!
Na, I had said that sarcastically... Or maybe it's fate...

There's a positive side to this? You have a statement on the ME2 homepage that says, more or less, that ME1 doesn't matter anymore. No need to go back and play that game! Forget about Liara, Ashley, Kaidan, Wrex, the Rachni, The Council, Anderson, Udina, and all the other supposedly important decisions made in ME1. We're got the perfect entry point to the franchise right here! If there's an upside to having Bioware (once again) give a big middle finger to anyone who still cherishes ME1, I'd love to hear it.Operative84 wrote...

Like I said there is a lot of room for interpretation, and me just being an average guy I can only "assume" what is meant by the "hours of bonus content making it the perfect ENTRY point to the franchise" statement.
Nothing that happened in ME1 matters. Fans who preferred that game can take a hike.
Or that PS3 users will have BONUS CONTENT in the form of a prologue.
Of course you can continue to assume the worst if wish to do so. I'm looking at the positive side of it rather than assuming the worst, or reading "bonus content" and assuming that it really says "Free DLC that other people had to pay for". Or seeing this as an indication that they dont want to support the save import transfer feature any further.
LOL, dude that statement is directed towards the PS3 VERSION of ME2, why are you trying to make yourself miserable and angry? They are attempting to sell their product to PS3 users, obviously to incourage people to buy it they need to reassure that (short version): we have you covered because you cant get ME1 on PS3, (long version): ME1 is important to ME2 and ME3, we will make sure you can enter the story with ME2/Genesis on PS3 because of the nature of the source content of the 360 and PC versions of ME1 which we are unable to port to PS3, however that is why the BONUS CONTENT will ON THE PS3 version will make ME2 for PS3 the perfect ENTRY point to the franchise.

Glad to see this happening. Already own the PC version, but I'll definitely be buying the PS3 version too.
Honestly though, I'm not sure which is more impressive: the announcement or the post-announcement forums whining. Love it. Hopefully ME3's private terminal will include a parody forum, where you can read posts from Turians and Batarians complaining that Shepherd's reinstatement as a Spectre in ME2 was a slap in the face to all the council races that made Spectres a success to begin with.
Are you absolutley clueless? Or ar you in an ignorant trance of bliss? open your eyes! We had to pay good money for all the DLC that came out for Xbox360 and PC. Now Bioware is slapping the dedicated fans in the face by announcing ME 2 for PS3, which is all well and good. But they get all the loads of DLC for free! Plus a few more we won't have for months! We're not angry about the Franchise spreading across consoles, just the fact that we got gypped.
Nobody's said anything of the kind. And getting all the DLC months later, in a GOTY type package... it's hardly unfair, if you take a step back and really look at the fact of how many times we've been able to play this game...
Do you enjoy losing about 60 dollars worth of DLC when you later learn you could have bought the PS3 version for the same price and had all the DLC?
This puts the cost of a ME2 on PC and Xbox360 to about 120 dollars for those of us that bought it first few months
PS3 owner have to pay much much less for the same experience we've had.
Yes, I do.
I'm pretty sure I haven't spent 60 $ on DLC just yet, though. More like 30... Worth it to me to be able to have had it 6-11 months before the PS3 version. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a X360 GOTY with the same selection coming out at roughly the same time. Would be the usual timeframe for that.
If they'd been simultaneous, or even 3-4 months apart, I'd agree with you. Now I don't.

Hypothesis: I buy a pair of Levi jeans for $30. Then I spend $15 on a nice belt. A few months later I see the jeans and belt for sale as a bundle for $30. Do I freak out and write a nasty letter to Levi saying that if they intended to bundle the jeans and the belt at a later date the belt should have been free the whole time?
No. It's capitalism. Stop whining you big babies.
Oh yes, what a great analogy. But does Levi have a massive fanbase of hardcore fans who go out and buy the latest fashion? Uh no. No the better ananlogy would be:
I go out and buy a pair of Levi's jeans and an extra couple of buttons that cost the same amount as the actual jeans in case I lose mine. Then, a few months later, I learn that the jeans and the buttons are bundled and I realized I had just spent $30 dollars extra on a set of "exclusive" buttons.
Obviously, I am pissed off.

This is good for people like me who can't afford to upgrade to a newer PC and have had SIX 360s Red Ring on them so wouldn't touch another one with a 10 foot pole.
This is Bioware. They're not screwing anyone over and Mass Effect 3 will still be epic.
Look at their track record: Jade Empire, Kotor, NWN, Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 1. If Mass Effect 3 sucks I'll poop my pants.

The fair thing to do here, is RETURN all the bioware/microsoft points spend on the DLC to the ones who bought it, and give all the DLC for free from now on.
Buying Liara DLC? Ja! I don't think so, cheaply used PS3 version here i go.
In the meatime does anyone want to buy one used copy of Mass effect 1 and 2 for the PC, i have to recover some of the money this idiots stole from me.

Game of the year additions do this all the time, its not a huge deal. I wish they would release boxed versions of the DLC for some people without Xbox Live, even though I have it, some still don't. Also, we don't even know what that bonus content is. It might just be a condensed ME1, so all the major decisons can be decided on.

I take no pleasure in this but facts are facts... It's out of the charts already in most territories, still not hit the 2 million on Xbox worldwide, the big price cut, a demo released so far after launch.

You make no sense... They must have not just same, but more content to sell the game. Why would anybody buy PS3 version for $60 if it doesn't feature a decent amount of PS3 exclusive content?golak wrote...
is this a joke? they released it for ps3 1 year after they did it for pc/xbox? whats next wii next summer? they damn well better have the same content>:C

Some of us (like myself) don't really care that the PS3 version is essentially the GOTY edition of ME2. Whats alarming many of us is the fact that Bioware may attempt to ensure that PC, Xbox, and PS3 users will experience ME3 in the exact same way - basically, the decisions of ME1 will be severely downplayed.

Bioware... if you dare to do such a thing all of us will riot against you! Millions of people already own mass effect 1 & 2 on the 360 and PC and now your including extra content exclusive to a specific platform??? I hope its the same content you guys released as DLC on xbox live and pc...
Your shifting what you originally said! I thought you cared about both console and pc gamers... this is wrong.

I had 2 RROD, but I've had around 7 or so 360s since launch the others were hardware failures, overheating etc, whats funny is some dude wrote a book about his 360 experience, I think he had like 9 or 10 since launch that screwed up.
