Then again the impact of ME1 choices in ME2 was probably already watered down because the PS3 version.PoliteAssasin wrote...
I'll only agree with this if Mass 3 suffers as a result of this port. Since the PS3 players wont get Mas 1 choices, Bioware might just water it down even more so than the second game.

I really do hope that some key and talented people from Bioware leave "EA's Bioware" and form a new studio. EA destroy everything they touch by watering down past franchises to appeal to the broader market.

That'd be the end of Bioware for me. Obviously this is EA's influence over Bioware because if you can't port the whole trilogy, then don't do it at all.

ME1 will not be coming to PS3 according to Microsoft.
"With both Mass Effect titles launching first on Xbox 360 combined with the wealth of available paid downloadable content on Xbox Live today, Xbox 360 remains the best place to experience the Mass Effect franchise," a representative. Mass Effect 1, first published by Microsoft in 2007, will remain exclusive to Xbox 360. And the original Mass Effect is absolutely an Xbox 360 exclusive, making Xbox 360 the only place to get the full Mass Effect experience," the company added.
That is a statement they released. That however does not mean that a shortened version or a lot of questions at the beginning of ME2 will not occur.

Anyway, Christina Norman has been busy tweeting, as usual:To anyone who says that me2 ps3 is bad for the 360/PC version, it isn't! We are all gamers here.
it is more like we get to hire extra people because of the ps3 port, it is a win win situation.
My personal goal
is to make the 360, PS3 and PC experiences for ME2 as equal at possible,
and to bring ME2 to as many gamers as possible.

I have no problem with PS3 owners getting to try this awesome game, just like I didn't mind when they had Oblivion ported over a few years ago. Awesome games deserve to be played by as many people as possible and I think that the whole era of exclusives needs to come to an end soon.
Still, what I felt stung about regarding the Oblivion port is that they got a few of the game's DLC for free, built into a brand new copy of the game. I had to pay for Knights of the Nine, they got it free of charge. If PS3 owners get DLC such as Kasumi and Overlord for free like this, I will be slightly annoyed for sure.
That said, Mass Effect 2 is awesome, BioWare is awesome, and anything that can help them spread the love and improve their studio with increased sales is usually good with me. Just please don't make Mass Effect 3 suffer because of the EA Effect that seems to be going on.

Not liking this announcement. Mass Effect was supposed to be 360 exclusive. Im guessing EA pushed this on Bioware to do. Not really bioware's fault, but EA's to make more $$$. Its not about fans anymore, just profit. So, since exclusives dont matter anymore, they should make MGS4 for 360.
I dont think EA pushed them. BioWare did games for Microsoft back when Microsoft was publishing their games.Seahero wrote...

So its really going to happen. ME on PS3. I might throw away my 360 now. ME is the only exclusive title that has kept me on either side of the console war. I am a big fan of ME going to PS3 ,as long as it doesn't hurt the game. Why care?
Send it to me, I could use NTSC unit to play games like Deathsmiles.Rip504 wrote...

Okay, I have afew questions for Bioware regarding this game...
1.) Is there going to be a Collector's Edition?
2.) I already own the 360 Collector's Edition, and I've redeemed the Collector Armor code here. Will I need to buy the PS3 Collector's Edition if I want the Armor, or will the Armor already be available in the PS3 Version since I've already redeemed the code for the 360 Version?
3.) Are any additional improvements going to be made to the PS3 Version based on user complaints for the PC/360 Version, such as an Inventory System, Planet Exploration, or Helmet Toggle?
Thanks in advance.

Exactly. That's what I'm saying. I'm not flipping out over the DLC business, but it's a really f*cked up move if they get what I nearly invested sixty bucks in. If they get it free, I won't particularly mind but like you I'll be annoyed.

Wow still no dev response. Except for Christina Norman on Twitter, who I love, but her tweets had nothing to do with anyone's real issues regarding carry over and all that from ME1.
