i expect ME3 to be ps3/PC exclusive
and no matter how hard microsoft tries to keep ME1 on xbox/pc EA can just rename it and release it on ps3 so ps3 owners get the full expirience and more

In other news, Bioware announced today that both Ashley and Kaiden will no longer be part of the Mass Effect canon. Chris Priestly was quoted in Gamasutra stating that, "We have no knowledge of these two characters you speak of and never plan to include them in Mass Effect 3," when asked about the role of those two now non-existent characters in Mass Effect 3.
In related news, the Mass Effect Wiki page concerning the oft-mentioned Wrex has disappeared, replaced by a page that calls him "Krogan Evil Overlord" and describes Shepard's efforts and eventual success in killing him in ME1 in a secret mission only accessible to developers.
wait let me get this right.... is that for 360 as well.. cos that is so fricking annoying for those who kept loyal to them in ME... i am worried about ME3 being quite **** now

Why do people care about the xbox360 exclusive? you don't own any part of the franchise.
I don't care about that, I have voiced why I hate this choice.

Enjoy the end of the world. I'll be back after ME3 comes out and it isn't so bad...
PS since I'm leaving I got a Platinum in Demon's Souls. If I didn't like RPGs that wouldn't be possible.

...Then the PS3 fans will pull a PC fandom and claim that the hardware of the other two platforms is inferior and holding them back from their own exclusive content.Mystranna Kelteel wrote...
You know, ME1 was supposed to be exclusive to the 360 too.
Then they announced the PC version.
ME2 was supposed to be exclusive to the 360 and PC.
Now they announce the PS3 version.
It was only a matter of time. I don't see why people are surprised by history's cyclical nature.

LMAO.
I suppose the articles in Mass effect wiki regarding the Council or the Rachni queen dissappeared as well.

How many millions did Sony shell out for you to do an about face on this franchise? Did they get you to agree to PS3 exclusive content too, like they did for Batman: Arkham Asylum? That's the way Sony does business ladies and gentlement. Wait for something good, then buy it while attaching shoestrings to the competition.
Do you honestly think this will do that well? Re-releasing a game 1 year later on another same generation console? Guess what EAWare, 90% of the people who wanted to buy and play Mass Effect 2 already bought it for PC or 360. We've already beaten it, scored the achievements, and are awaiting good DLC and ME3, not a rerelease on a new console.
You want to make money? Then make the third game the grand opus of the series, don't bother wasting the time and money needed to transfer this over to shiny little blu-ray discs.
Severely dissappointed in your market research guys.

Seriously, people need to step away from the ledge. Bioware has already said that there are over 1,000 permutations of your decisions through ME1 and ME2 that will have an effect on ME3. Newsflash - Mass Effect is not an exclusive game to the 360 as the many PC players around here can attest.

BS! I checked the choices that are flag, it's no where near 1000.

Could it be this mysterious bonus content is just an introduction to the series for those who may have missed ME1 on X-Box or PC? A quick recap or something so they aren't totally lost? Also, Penny Arcade posted something when the game originally came out, about how one of the early builds allowed you to make a new Shepard without a savegame from ME1 and input the choices made yourself. So it's not unreasonable for them to do it here.
Honestly, unless they start announcing PS3 exclusive NEW content, I'm not going to lose any sleep. And they've made such a big deal about carrying over your decisions from one game to the next, I doubt they'll stop now. I seem to recall one of the devs saying there would be more RPG elements in ME3. Somehow that doesn't mesh well with taking RPG elements away in the form of carrying over player choices.
And to all the butt-hurt 360 owners who think Bioware has "sold it's soul to EA" (see poster above me), I'd just like to say, as a PC gamer, THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE GOT ME1 BEFORE US TO BEGIN WITH. PS3, 360, you all look like ants from my exalted vantage point.
Okay, I'm kidding. Really. Have fun, PS3 owners, you have probably done something somewhere to deserve this bit of good news.

You can play as Joker on 360/PC, don't you remember the level where Shepard and the Team leaves and the Collectors board the Normandy, then It's up to Joker to save the day!

A) EA doesn't do "exclusive." They want profit wherever they can get it. That means 360, PS3, PC is far more likely than not.
Mass Effect: Genesis, perhaps?

Somebody should take note here of everyone saying ME3 is going to suck thanks to ME2 getting Ported to PS3.
Mark my words, by next year, they'll have an ME3 Logo under their screen name, confirming that they bought it.
Not if we get a whole new squad, no purchase for me then
Sure...keep telling yourself that.
If you hate Bioware so much now, and are so sure that ME3 will suck, then why not delete your account?
Surely you have better things to do than stay here nitpicking about a developer whom you've lost all faith in.
Because unlike you I have friends on this site that I talk to regualry. I enjoyed ME2, does that mean I have to be blind and say everything Biowaste does it good? I am a customer and I have the right to voice my opinion on things that are bad.
Then why don't you just get their e-mail addresses, Cell Phone numbers, Facebook pages, etc? There are other places to congregate other than a message board for a developer that you've lost all respect and faith for.
/facepalm
What you just wrote was complete fail, this exchange is over.
Of course it is... Anytime someone presents you with a logical argument you have no acceptable answer for, you refuse to answer altogether, or pull the Fanboy Card.
The truth is, you don't want to leave, you don't hate Bioware, you haven't lost faith in them, and you're just *****ing because you're butthurt over the game going multiplatform. Yet you're still going to buy ME3, and you'll continue posting here because logically you know that it's no big deal that the game is going multiplatform, and that it won't have any negative effect whatsoever save for the fact that you can no longer use it in an argument that Xbox 360 is better than PS3.
If I'm wrong, then by all means please give a satisfactory answer to why it is that you can't simply collect alternate methods of communication with your friends on the site?
Even a "they don't like me enough to share there e-mail with me" would be a satisfactory answer at this point.
Otherwise, quit fronting. If you truly lost all respect for Bioware, you'd be gone.

Casey Hudson -
“We plan out the larger plot points of the story from one game to the
next, but it would be impossible to plan it all in advance,” explained
Hudson. “More importantly, we’d never be able to plan as many creative
opportunities if we’d do it all up front. Instead, we record what a
player has done in a play-through, and then we have all those choices
available that writers can refer to as they build storylines…
Numerically, it’s over 1,000 variables that we’ll have access to for
shaping the Mass Effect 3 experience for people who’ve played the
previous games.”
