As for ME1 decisions, I'd be willing to bet they come about as "flashbacks" while you are being revived. You play some small segments of the original ME1, with the ME2 controls and gameplay, and that's how you make certain decisions. This would also be part of the "hours of additional content."

No, Xbox 360 - only guys would buy the game later (some could even buy PS3) while multiplatform guys would buy on PS3 - no loss for EA, huge loss for Microsoft.
Microsoft is not willing, they are angry, but they wont do anything, because they can not do anything.

Then again I doubt ME1PS3 is possible at this point, the game is 3 years old, and the sequel is coming out early next year. I could see the very shortened version to be part of ME2PS3, but not the full game. There is no real financial gain to port over the whole thing - they could not even ask the full price.

im not a fanboy whatsoever but i like the fact that xbox and ps3 were competing with each other it gave them a reason to create outstanding games and the fact that xbox just lost another one of its nukes means that the ps3 is on top (they havent given us any of there exclusives and have been getting extra content this past year) and i fear that we might not have triple A titles because that motivation to be the best will now be gone

What the hell?¿ Some of the best games ever have been in multiplatforms,in fact there have been amazing games when there were even no consoles around...

If a game  is bad or good it definetely not related to the platform, but to the makers of the game, killzone 2 was great but so was Modern Warfare 1 and it was multiplatform

I mean companies fighting over users and franchises is understandable but people fighting over which console should get which game...lamo!

Also with PS2, Sony includes the number of units they made to replace broken ones. And broken PS2s were pretty common for a while, so that probably counts a few million.



With ME2 coming on PS3, does that mean BioWare will finally have the money to not rip us off with pay-for weapons packs?

No it probably just means that they'll will get them on disc (you know "exlusive content" probably the firepower pack and crap they get is "exclusive" because its on disc, like Red Alert 3).

And you don't even need to play any portion of it. Cutscene. Some new narrative sets up the moral dilemma, you choose, see a bit of those results, then a new scene for the next choice.

Firstly, the game had never been exclusive to any one platform.

Secondly, it being ported in no way takes anything from your experience with the game. It was never a game that had been shared with only one particular community (as mentioned in the first point) and can't be described as such. It was neither simply just a 360 game nor was it just a PC game - it was both.

Thirdly (and this will supersede my second point), it doesn't matter if it had been associated with any particular platform. I don't even know where to begin on how ridiculous it is to be proud of something like that.

To expand on my third point, I'd like to talk about what it means to be proud of something. Creating a game that you had poured countless hours into creating so that many like-minded individuals can enjoy is something to be proud of ( I see no harm in them wanting to share their pride with more people). Raising your child, sharing your values, giving them the tools and space to make their own and see the results is something to be proud of. Writing a paper that you'd spent weeks on - pulling all nighters, countless interviews, readings, etc and receiving a well earned grade is something to be proud of.

Looking up on the internet to see what games you prefer, going to Wal Mart and buying a console is rarely something to be proud of - the exception being if you had no money and worked tooth and nail in order to buy it (and even then it's not so much that the pride is attributed to the console itself - it's moreso a symbol). Pride is not generally something we should attribute to console ownership... such thinking is ridiculous and, frankly, immature.

Let the damn people enjoy the game.

and what happens if the PS3 owners can't import choices from ME to ME2? That will damage ME3 and the fans enjoyment, you guys who are complaiing about the complainers are getting it wrong. We don't care that it's coming to the PS3, we care because it might and has a 99% chance to making mE3 a total failure.

Oh, well as long as you've done the math...oh wait, you forgot to carry the one.
