The only worrying thing about this is as others have said that the choices from ME1 wont affect ME3 when it comes out, hopefully this isn't the case, other then that I don't really care if it goes to other consoles or not.

This. I assume they'll get the Cerberus Network free content: Normandy Crash Site, Zaeed, Hammerhead, Arc Projector and Cerberus weapons and armour, I'd say that would equal 'hours' of bonus content. I could even accept if they gave them Kasumi as a good will present... after all, they need consoling, they're not getting ME1 after all!

I'll be glad to see many more gamers having a chance to be part of one of the best new IPs out there. Just as long as Bioware doesn't trample on the gamers on the 360 and PC (what I use) who have followed the series from its beginnings.

No one should care what platform it's on. Care about being completely limited in your choices. Why would they not put ME1 on PS3 too then? I suppose it's a money thing supply and demand and such, but really.

I agree.  I was about a month away from having the cash on hand to get an old 360 so that I could stop sponging off my friend's 360, and now I find I don't have to.  Or maybe I don't.  I have about ten million questions.  Including but not limited to:

#1. Mass Effect
Will this also be brought over?  Because I would really like to recreate my 360 Shepherd again for use in my own house.

#2. Import
If ME1 will not be brought over as well, are we stuck with the default story (all renegade with no romance and PM murder), or is that questionnaire with Jacob and Miranda on the way out of the Minuteman station going to be more intense?

#3. Exclusive Content
Is this to be compensation for not getting ME1?  What's the nature of this content?  Is it more DLC, the existing DLC prepackaged?

Ps3 owners are gonna have a great time enjoying this game, i think i might buy a Ps3, that way i can bag all the great games, i find exclusives annoying.

I have been telling my friends who only own a PS3 how great this game is. Now they can play it. Good. However, I hope BW doesn't ****** off the entire 360/PC user base by including "PS3-ONLY Exclusives." Previously released DLC on the disc, that's OK. Something I cannot download for either existing version... Bad. Very bad.

That's exactly the point.  PS3 folks aren't getting the "series."  They're getting the cookie cutter default canon ME2 where nothing in ME1 matters.  Does not bode well for ME1 carryovers to ME3.  Unless the writers put in a sentence or two of exposition, which is seriously lame-o.

You can't really think there's not going to be a way to get all of the choices from the first game can you?

We don't hear anything on a release date for the ShadowBroker content, which is personally driving me up a wall but i will save that rant for another time.



And as much as I love ME2, it is time to get started on 3 that is what everyone is really after.

Why not?  If you didn't play the first game you don't care about those choices.  They're just made for you and you don't know any better.

You would expect them to release all the DLC prior announcing the "complete edition".
Then again its good for those who want to buy the PS3 version to stop wasting money on DLC.

Not sure what to make of this. The fact that ME1 was published by Microsoft pretty much eliminates any hope of that going to PS3. If so then PS3 users are going to miss out on some of the story unless they go watch walkthroughs on YouTube. I'm guessing Sony forked over some serious coin for Bioware to do this.
