let me get this straight
EA is so hungry for money that they will release JUST a sequel for PS3 thus preventing them to play ME1 and importing a character?
and people say EA is NOT an evil money hungry black hole in the videogame community?
wow....just wow
now there will be enromous delays in ME3 OR ME3 will take shortcuts because the engine needs to be re-written, re-optimized and re-adapted to the PS3 weaknesses and strengths

Jesus, you can't release ME2 for PS3 without, without releasing ME1 so these players can import games. Without importing save games, they will be stuck with all of the ****TY renegade default choices.
F*cking stupid
I'm sure they're going to figure out away around that, they almost have too.
not really... me1 has been confirmed to stay on xbox/pc because microsoft /bioware made it not EA/bioware, its EA allowing this transaction to ps3 to happen, the only thing that i can imagine allowing you to make your own choices is opening up the beginning and choosing who lived or died and what not (like who died on virmire, wrex survive or not and did council live etc.)
....and if not and you get stuck with the crappy renegade choices preset in me2, well deal with it

I never said it was going to be exclusive I was saying "If" it were exclusive. So yeah I'm probably getting angry a little early, but just want to make sure it isn't exclusive and that us PC and 360 owners don't get back handed to the new PS3 owners coming into our ME universe.
How am I a Fanboy? I never said I was un happy PS3 owners are getting Mass Effect I just want the same ****. So please learn to read before acting.

The only Fable not available for PC is Fable 2. Also you say not all PC gamers are Pirates and your not one of them, but you don't have your games registered. Why is that?Like I said earlier I really just want the same content available to me. Other than that I'm all good.
Oh sorry im tired here making mistakes (nearly 2am) yes fable 1 and 3
And actually i pre-ordered my Collectors edition copy the moment i got the text message from Game, so please don't insinuate that im one of them. As for why my games aren't registered? Fine if it makes any difference ill register them now, but i already signed up and got my Bring down the sky key for ME1 back in the day, and I've used my Cerberus network card to get my DLC, and bought the rest so i don't see a need to spread more information about myself on the Internet then i deem i need to.
Facebook and all that rubbish may be the fad now but watch when theres a mass identity theft <_<

I really hope that doesn't happen, any content released should be shared between all three platforms, and I think Christina Norman said she wants everything in all three to be equal.

In a way, I am glad that ME 1 will not be ported because it will still be an Xbox exclusive game. True hardcore fans will have to have an Xbox 360 or PC in order to fully enjoy the entire trilogy. It’s sort of like watching The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi without watching A New Hope

Because your choice of words SCREAMS fanboy, nevermind about the validity of your complaints about the possibility of the PS3 version getting exclusive content.FearTheLiving wrote...

If it was called "exclusive" it might mean that the DLC is on the disc exclusively on the PS3 version, but thats it!! the word "exclusive" wasn't in the announcement at all!! How is BONUS another word for EXCLUSIVE??

for some reason, this representative sounded like he/she was struggling and feeling threatened.
also bioware could make a twist of words here, a remake of the original ceases to be the original version per se. ME: genesis could be a remake of ME1 with some updates from ME2 and some other features.

I couldn't care less that it's coming to the PS3, but it pisses me off that when ever the PS3 gets games later they always seem to get either all the DLC with it or get new stuff the other versions never got for the same price it was for the other consoles. Examples of this is Bioshock, Overlord, and now Mass Effect 2. So if EA/Bioware do it that way I'll be pissed.
What's so different from that and a classics edition of a game? The classics edition of Mass Effect 1 included the first DLC (as the second one was not out yet). Do you complain that classics or GOTY editions usually have some/all of the DLC plus maybe some other stuff?
Just consider the PS3 version to be a classics edition, out 1 year after the original release date. Heck, the classics edition of the Xbox360 and PC versions (with all/some of the DLC) might even be out by the time it comes out for the PS3.
Edit: Okay, I just saw that the classics version of Mass Effect 2 is already out, and apparently, without any extras. But that's not usually the case. I think many times games come with their DLCs when they are released as a GOTY or classics edition.
You missed my main point where as they'd get exclusive content.
No where in the announcment was it mentioned that the content was exclusive.
And why would it be? EA is out to sell product and make money... so the same "bonus content" will also be available for the 360.
If PS3 gets "exclusive" content it will be something like a recap video for the ME1 plot, or maybe a new helmet or gun.

This is true. I read this article. I'm not sure Sony will that picky about this exclusive jumping ship, though.BETRAYED wrote...

As far as the lack of ME1, I still believe there will be an interactive "Story So Far" cutscene at the beginning. It will pause at various key decision points and let the player choose the outcome via the Dialogue wheel like some choose your own adventure book. You now have a save that can customize your start to ME2.
Lame? Possibly. However, it prevents EVERY PS3 gamer from having to start as Renegade Shep.

The dynamic storylines are one of the biggest selling points of the series. They're not just going to drop all of that extra content they worked on to cater to it for ME2. They will figure out a way around it, whether it's through a questionare or something else.jollyorigins wrote...
