I think perhaps the reason ME1 is not making it's way to the PS3 is because BioWare doesn't want another couple of years listening to people complain about the Mako or how many of the mission locals are carbon copies of each other, etc. But really...No Liara romance? No having Wrex on your squad? No listening to Tali gush over the Normandy like a high school girl at a Robert Pattinson autograph session? No awesome Biotic abilities unfettered? Xbox 360's go cheap these days, maybe the PS3 owners can grab one and play ME1 before the console RRoD.

I’ve been lurking around these forums for quite a while and I
find it humorous how one minute it’s, “WE LOVE YOU BIOWARE!!!!1110101!” to, “WTF!?
PS3 ****S GET BONUS CONTENT!!!!??”.

But let’s look at this more... PS3 apparently will never get
ME1 and will by no means experience its storyline. They won’t be able to make decisions
which can impact the story differently throughout ME2, so they are stuck with
the basic choices for ME2 missing out important characters from the first game
altogether.

And you’re all wining about a few hours of bonus content for the PS3? Guys they are missing out
on the whole FIRST GAME! Besides we haven’t even gotten any info as to what that bonus content is yet? Just be patient until we hear more.

Glad I got that out, now onto the good stuff.

Chris Priestly I applaud what you and the Bioware team have
done thus far and hope this all this rage will blow over soon so we can get to
the important stuff, like new info for the upcoming DLC...
plz! .

But I’m not surprised it’s finally coming to the PS3 and I
think it’s a good decision they’ve made. It will widen the audience to the
series bringing more Dosh money to the company. If anything it will make
ME3 even more successful since it will be multiplatform for PC, Xbox306 and PS3.

I like the idea of having it on ps3 as well, the more the merrier, but I'm just concerned about the decisions from ME1 being dumbed down, for the ps3 gamers...

That wasn't his question.

The answer is no. We have no information on how decisions will effect ME3 or how the PS3 port will effect the games development process. Everything you see here is just a bunch of ASSumptions.

I played through the first two on PC - obviously I don't own a 360 - so I'm not that excited. But still, it's awesome to hear that PS3-only users can immerse themselves into the world of Mass Effect.

That's if PS3 only gamers actually show up.   I recall when Bioshock finally made it's way to the PS3 and Playstation gamers didn't come aboard in significant numbers.  Bioshock was a fantastic game that was highly acclaimed, but PS3 gamers passed it up.

It remains to be seen if PS3 gamers will want to jump into a trilogy at mid-point without the benefit of having played the first game, and also without Paragon and Renegade saves.

In no way is Bioware and EA betraying us; unless if there is exclusive content. Mass Effect is an incredible series. I can understand completely why it is being ported to the PS3; I just feel that PS3 owners will not get the full effect of the game without ME

Ahhh, thanks. But what about the choices made in the first game, like what happens with Wrex on Vermire, who the love interest is, those kinds of things, that the ps3 guys might not get to make? Would they just get left out of Me3 at this point?

Hopefully the ps3 gamers get some way to decide the outcome from the first game, without having to play it. Starting as a neutral Shep every time wouldn't be nearly as fun.

i'd assume they would run ith the defaults wrex dead ash/kadian still hate you and as far as liara she would never hate but thers no LI there
