I want that content, bu i won't be buying a new copy of ME 2 for my PS3 just for that.

Where are you people getting this crap? None of that is confirmed, so just simmer down. And if it does happen, remember they still had to wait a year longer than you to even play the game. So what, if Bioware tosses them a bone?

What do you two mean? The PS2 version of RE4 was actually well received and even managed to outsell the GC version. Of course it was also attacked relentlessly by the Nintendo crowd, who basically claimed that the port was so bad that it gave you herpies.

Yeah, the PS3 folks will more than likely getting the majority of the DLC packaged with ME2 when it is released.   But it is common practice for games to be packaged with extra content when they are released later in special editions or GOTY editions.  I got ME1 on 360 with the DLC for $20.00  I got Fallout 3 GOTY with all 5 DLC for $50.00. Paying for DLC as it is released  is the price to pay for getting the game on release. 
When the PS3 version hits, chances are, I beleive, a 360 and PC version with all the DLC will land at the same time.

I doubt it will be anything significant like more plot related content or sidemissions. C'mon, Bioware isn't stupid enough to ****** off not one but two groups of loyal consumers. The extra content is probably an enhanced "Miranda test" from the games introduction.

But i am happy with my pc version of ME. And i hope PS3 gamers will get completely awesome package of gameplay and story also. They've been waiting too long for this game...

If that is the case, yes. Then BW can give a chance to the PS3 player to make some decisions that relates to ME1. But if thats the case, BW should tell that because I think that will increase the sales for PS3.

lol you do realize Dragon Age was multiplatform and will continue to be such, and the same goes for Mass Effect 2+ right? So PS3 owners are here, even as you make assumptions of ones character for their ownership of any product you dont care for. I cant speak for whatever personal and actually damaging experience you may or may not have had to make you feel the way you do but, ok I guess.

and just to get it out of the way, I'm a gamer, and I love games. I've owned PCs for as long as I've been gaming, as well with handhelds(lol yes even the old school GameBoy, and the wonderful GameGear), and consoles, I probably stuck with Microsoft the longest out of all the consoles, and yes I now own a PS3 due to a tiresome amount of trouble with all the 360's I've owned(minus the most recent I ended up selling). So from a console stand I'm happy about ME2+ coming to PS3, and for the record I've owned and played ME1 on both 360 and PC, and owned and played ME2 on 360, so I'm glad to continue the experience on a console I own.

Anyways yeah it's the net, yeah you can say whatever you want without worry of running into someone you speak of in a poor demeanor, but still at least try and act like you may run into them on the street, and choose your words a bit better.

Pretty much my thoughts when I read the announcement.  Assuming of course this means ME3 will be on Playstation as well that pretty much tells us that your ME1 choices will be just about as important as they were in ME2, which is to say not at all.  

Well, that's not fair I guess.  We did get emails about our ME1 choices, so I guess ME2 will be able to lord that over ME3 at the least.  So much for those of us hoping they would return some continuity with the last installment.

The only thing to top this would be porting of ME3 so it comes out same time as the 360's ME3 launch and porting ME1. I will re buy all ME games for the PS3 as soon as they release and my friends and family plan to as well. EA makes most their game Multiplatformed so I wandered why they couldnt get this done earlier when it wouldv'e benifited Bioware and expaned the fanbase, but I guess MS can pay off anyone.
Once again, THANK YOU!!! PLEASE PORT IT WELL AT 1080P AND PUSH THE HARDWARE. Nothings worse than a bad port or a port that doesnt use the consoles streaths just because it could look better than the first console it was on. I've been asking for this since before ME 1 dropped of Bioware and Im glad they heard the cries of potential fans and fans who wanted it for PS3.

I think this is a bad idea... if ME1 was going for it, it would be LESS of a bad idea, but it's still a bad idea no matter what. To be honest... exclusivity should be maintained! Damnit.

so whats the point of it being multiplatform microsoft does not wanna give them the 1st one and if ME1 does have a big impact ps3 players really wont be able to expirience everything

im guessing bioware wasnt counting on microsofts (rather angry but understandable) response

This is awesome news. The more popular Mass Effect becomes, the more resources will be devoted to its expansions and extensions... Can we just wait and see what this PS3 iteration contains before we start the screaming and yelling? I'm honestly baffled as to why people are moaning about this - as actarus says, the porting of ME2 to PS3 means more ME fans, more money to develop new ME games, a wider appeal etc etc.

I personally only have a PC, but I'm happy to hear the news. Well I'll be annoyed if PS3 owners get free content that the rest of us have to pay for, but otherwise quite pleased. As for those who have the xbox360 - the original ME1 was an xbox exclusive, but then went to PC. Now ME2 was xbox and PC, then went PS3. If you're buying a console for a single game, then really, you're doing it wrong... Just be happy that you have the game and that unlike some of us, you actually have the money to own something like a 360.

The thing is, I'm not talking about the capabilties of the consoles at all. As I said earlier, the experience of the franchise is what's count. The unique experience of an exclusive title is far more memorable and valuable than a multi-platform, don't you think?

No, the quality of the game is what makes it memorable and valuable to me.  If an exclusive game is of poor quality, all I'd have would be an exclusive piece of garbage.

Would I have enjoyed Mass Effect less if it were multi-platform?  No.  Would I have enjoyed Dragon Age more if it were exclusive?  No.  The experience of the game itself is what I value, not its exclusivity.

yeah, I know, but still. I wouldn't be against it if ME1 was also being offered. Those that dont' have XB360 and/or ME1 or can't play ME1 won't get to experience the entire Mass Effect ... er.. experience without playing both games.

So my beef is more on the fact that it's only ONE of the titles out of an entire trilogy. I have all 3 consoles (and a PC), so I really don't have any other room to complain being that I am able to play it in general. But, it's good news that this amazing game will be available to those that seek interest in it, and were originally unable to play it.

This is just my clarification on my opinion and on what I said previously, even though I could be sounding hypocritical... Am... I sounding hypocritical?

dude it's not that uncommon. 360's are hit and miss, some people just have a bad run with them is all, I'm sure as someone pointed out today(though kind of generalized that all people with problems concerning consoles are from stupidity), my brother treats his 360s like crap, well pretty much everything he owns(and here I thought joining the military after I had wouldve straightened him out) and he's only gone through 4 or 5 xbox360s since launch, I think 2 out of all he's had RROD, the others were disc drive failures or they just stopped reading discs.

You dont even want to know how many I've gone through, but on a side note some guy actually wrote a book about his numerous 360 problems and how many he'd gone through, cant say I've read it, why the hell would anyone want to read about themselves right lol.
