I liked the gamecube so much that I only got games for my PS2 if it wasn't available on gamecube, I loved the controls for shooters which are my favorite type of games, I still got all the games for them and sometimes I pick one to play, the old Splinter Cell games on gamecube are still fun.

Well, I have to admit, I totally didn't see this coming.. I had figured it would have happened by now if it was going to. As a 360 fan, I'll miss being able to brag about how PS3 doesn't have ME. But that's just a small point of console fan pride, it's not like the game is magically going to be worse now that it's multi-platform, and it means more people get to experience it. The more the merrier, right? However, I can't help but wonder how well ME2 will do on the PS3 without ME1.
My only concerns about this are whether or not the quality of ME3 will be negatively affected by this and whether or not the PS3 version gets exclusive extra content. As long as neither of those happens, we're good.
And the the 360 fanboys who are freaking out: grow up, it's not the end of the world. To the PS3 fanboys who are sure to come in with their gloating, if they haven't already: grow up, this doesn't magically make your console superior. To the regular PS3 fans who simply want to enjoy the awesomeness that is Mass Effect 2(best game of all time): welcome.

Im glad you guys wisened up and made it for PS3! I got rid of my 360 after the 5th RROD and switched to ps3. I regretted the fact I couldnt play ME2 anymore, but I prayed you guys get with the times and port it well to PS3! BEST NEWS THIS YEAR THAT CANT BE TOPPED!
The only thing to top this would be porting of ME3 so it comes out same time as the 360's ME3 launch and porting ME1. I will re buy all ME games for the PS3 as soon as they release and my friends and family plan to as well. EA makes most their game Multiplatformed so I wandered why they couldnt get this done earlier when it wouldv'e benifited Bioware and expaned the fanbase, but I guess MS can pay off anyone.
Once again, THANK YOU!!! PLEASE PORT IT WELL AT 1080P AND PUSH THE HARDWARE. Nothings worse than a bad port or a port that doesnt use the consoles streaths just because it could look better than the first console it was on. I've been asking for this since before ME 1 dropped of Bioware and Im glad they heard the cries of potential fans and fans who wanted it for PS3.

and get ME1 as well... That's lamesauce. EA is a multiplatform sort of
company and Bioware should be able to put their game on any console

only DAO for my PS3(first game I bought for it), but ME2 and hopefully
3.Now about the new content for PS3. Hopefully it's just the dlc coming
with the game. Or maybe its backstory aka ME1 stuff since they cant put
ME1 on PS3 it seems. If it's anything else then it might be lame if it
doesnt come to 360 users as well. I hate exclusives games/content if
they arent 1st party games. It only hurts the gamers.

sorry I cant see a connection to how any game can compare to that, and trust me I know the feeling, my fiancee had some piece of crap **** living with and sleeping with her not 3 weeks after I got on the plane to go to boot camp at Ft Leonardwood. So yeah again not seeing the similarity. But that's like the 3rd or 4th time you have said that in this thread alone so good luck with that.

I'm more pissed at Microsoft for their impotence in this situation. Firstly letting E.A. pick up Bioware without putting up a fight and then idly standing by as one of their biggest draws, Mass Effect, goes multi-platform, definitely stealing some of their thunder.
Do they really think Halo and Gears are going to carry them without an exclusive RPG contract with somebody... anybody?
WTF is Microsoft thinking? They had better have one hell of a comeback for this or go the way of the Dreamcast (which I loved too).
